This really keeps the squirrels away!! Not only do they avoid the feeder, they don't touch the seed blocks or anything hanging. It also slowed down the "traffic" in the yard. The squirrels seemed to be unstoppable, climbing up the side of the house, jumping up on the windowsills, hanging by their toes to get to the feeders we had mounted on the house. It was a constant battle that has stopped completely. I WIN!

Keeps the squirrels away as they don’t eat hot but doesn’t deter my bird friends. Don’t like the price, though! I was thinking about mixing in cheaper bird seed to see if it still works as well.

I purchased this product because the squirrels at our campground kept eating the birdseed out of my birdfeeder. I filled the birdfeeder with this product and the squirrels are continuing to eat all of the birdseed. I have a camera on it so I am for sure that is who is eating it

Sadly it didn’t work. The squirrels were eating it up! We ended up going to the local specialty store to get a bag of the super expensive stuff that worked last time and they ate that too. We also tried another brand from TSC and they ate that too. So I think the squirrels have just adapted.

The squirrels and chipmunks were constantly getting into my bird food feeders. Using this discourages the environments because they don’t like the heat, and it doesn’t bother the birds. I’ve been successful with keeping away the squirrels and chipmunks for my birdfeeders.

Please use caution when decising where and how to use this product. It is true that birds don't sense the pepper and that squirrels do. In suet for birds, the pepper is blended in the suet. For bird seed, the pepper is applied on the surface of the seeds. Thus, in a rain, the suet's effectiveness against squirrels is not affect. Depending on the type of bird feeders, the seeds can become wet and the pepper coating can be washed off, losing the effectiveness against squirrels.Also, the pepper can end up on hands when handling either prouct which can then be transferred to sensitive parts of the human body such as eyes.

Does a good job of deterring squirrels. They come by occasionally and take a sniff, and then move on.
