The keys are different frequencies that means their guts don’t works with honda accord 8 gen “unprogramable” the switch conector is different that means you can’t buy this to fix any start issue, I had to use the old one . This is just a new drum key and couple keys what make the duty to release the steering wheel lock and Move the latch for your original start contactor And does not block the key so as not to allow it take out unless he is in parking that means you can get out the key in any stick shift a little dangerous.

It works
The only thing that was different was the egnition switch plug in on the unit. But I just switched over the egnition switch and immobilizer and it worked perfect. On my 2008 Honda accord. You also need to take the transponder chip and guts out of the old key and put it in the new key and it will turn over fine.

One key wont program at all, the other only works to start the car.
The plug on the ignition starter switch (large black piece on end of ignition assembly) did not fit my 2010 Honda Accord. I had to use the ignition starter switch from my old assembly. It was easy enough to switch them out (two screws). You will also need to use the original immobilizer with this ignition assembly.I had a professional locksmith come out to program the keys ($85). One of the two keys that I received would not program to start the car. BOTH KEY FOBS WOULD NOT PROGRAM. That means I no longer have a working key fob to lock/unlock my doors, open trunk, or use the panic button. Now I only have one key to start my car, no key fob.
