Aglaonema Red Valentine (Chinese Evergreen) is an ornamental, slow-growing houseplant. The Red Valentine bears engaging leaves with tones of rose-pink randomly splashed with dark green blotches. Chinese Evergreen is on NASA’s list of air-purifying plants. They are proven to remove Benzene and Formaldehyde toxins present in home environments and help reduce the irritant side-effects to humans. Aglaonema Valentine prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can burn the leaves. If your plant is not getting enough light, the leaves may turn yellow or drop off. Aglaonema Valentine prefers temperatures between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Avoid exposing the plant to temperatures below 60°F (15°C). Water your Aglaonema Valentine when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Be careful not to overwater, as this can lead to root rot. Make sure the pot has good drainage to prevent water from pooling at the bottom. Aglaonema Valentine prefers high humidity, but can tolerate lower humidity levels. You can increase humidity by placing a humidifier near the plant, or by placing a tray of water near the plant.
