great guard for use with Dexcom G7. this has made a great difference in keeping the G7 in place for the full 10 days. I usually have to change it out at around day 4 or 5 but I just replace it and the G7 stays in place for the full 10 days. I don't use my G7 without one of these. great little guards.

I have a medical complex 22 year old we had problems with her G7 sensor coming off on her arm. This shield has been awesome for us.

This falls off all the time. You definitely need the overlay. If you use the overlay (another expense) which is recommended, the shield stays on pretty well. I'm considering trying another bump shield product, the arm band one. I purchased more overlays so I will see once I'm finished using them.

This shield allows you to change your dressing on your CGM without losing your device connection. It has been a game changer. My husband has not lost connection with his device since we started using it.

Purchased this based on the description on how it works to protect bumping my G7 CGM. So lets begin with whether or not it fits perfectly on my G7 > answer is yes it fit perfectly on/over my G7 when applied to the back of my arm, which is where I wear mine. The instructions that came with this sensor guard state you can use an over patch of your choice. I have both types of over patches ( ones with pre-cut holes and ones without). The over patches with pre-cut holes DO NOT FIT this sensor guard as the pre-cut hole is too small and you have to make the hole larger to fit over the sensor guard. This may work for some folks, but as for me, its a waste of my time to sit and trim the hole larger in order to use the precut over patch. As for the non precut over patches, I feel that this is a waste of time as well. Since the patches without holes actually protect the sensor already.So over all this purchase was a huge waste of money and I won't recommend this item. Maybe Dexcom should provide both sensor guards and over patches that are designed to work with their products. Currently Dexcom does not provide either and would rather users constantly call them each time their sensor comes off early for whatever reason and send those users new sensors via FedEx. The over patch that does come with each new G7 sensor is not designed for the G7 based on the shape of the hole. It's actually designed for their G6 model which is round and not egg shaped like the G7. Using after market over patches and sensor guards appears to be hit or miss, based on my experience using items bought on Amazon and other sites.

It seem to fit perfectly over the Dexcom but once i put overlay patch around it, took no time for the patch to start lifting. Maybe a good fit for some but just didn’t work for us.

My son played for 1 day after leaving with his, from the hospital and already pulled out his dexcom and went through all three of his prescriptions for that month and had already 10 to 15 days left got this thing ordered and going on2 months now with no more accidental mishaps with his dexcom!My son was 4 and now 5 so perfect for the young kids.

I don’t know how this works/helps but it most certainly does! No pain from the sensor while using this. Easier to remove, without pain, while using this. Very much highly recommend! Thank you!
