Excellent earphones
I've started running cross-country more and like to listen to an iPod Nano as I run. The earphones that came with the iPod were standard iPhone ear-bud type headphones which fell out as soon as I began running. When you're running, you don't want the headache of having to mess about re-adjusting your earphones and worrying about them falling out every second, it just ruins your focus.I therefore decided to buy these earphones. They are perfectly designed and are genuinely fit for purpose. The hooks are adjustable/bendy and fit my ears perfectly. They are so comfortable and light that I can't tell I'm wearing them once I put them on. The earphones come fitted with medium sized rubber buds already attached and the pack contains two additional spare pairs of buds (large and small) so that you are able to customise them to various ear sizes if required. The cord is nice and long too so I can zip my iPod in the pocket of my shorts while wearing the headphones without worrying that when I run and the iPod bounces it will pull on the headphones (I'm really tall and this was a problem with my old headphones). Even if it did pull (which it doesn't) the headphones fit so securely they still wouldn't dis-lodge. I have tested this by pulling the wires and they just stay in place perfectly without need for re-adjusting. Because the wires go through the bottom of the hooks, rather than into the buds, any movement or tugging just gets absorbed by the hooks. You don't get a milimeter of movement in the ear buds, which is brilliant design. The sound quality is great too, though was not my primary reason for buying them.I would not hesitate to recommend these headphones to runners or anyone involved in doing training which requires a lot of movement. The headphones simply will not dislodge or move through movement of your head/body. They have taken away all of the stress from my running sessions that I had with the original set of apple earphones. If you are a runner you will understand the need to be focused and not worry about things like headphones falling out and tripping you up. Definitely worth the money.

Very comfortable, but a drawback...
I bought these for use while running. I spent some time reading reviews of these and similar pairs. I've never used earhook headphones before, and was a little apprehensive about how they would fit and feel. When I first tried them on I worried that they would take a lot of getting used to. But after my first run today, I realised that I didn't really notice they were there. Great start. They come with 3 different size earpieces, so no problem getting the right fit in my ear either. The wire is about the right length - I run it inside my sleeve and hold my phone in my hand, so it's about right. My problem is with the in-line volume control. It works fine with my iPod, but I actually run with my phone not my iPod, and the volume control does NOT work with my phone. My phone is an HTC Desire. I have no idea if it will work with other devices. The pause/play button does work though. All in all, they are good headphones, very comfortable, music sounds fine, but it would be better if the in-line volume control actually worked with my phone.

Philips Earhook Headphones
I really can not stress how god these are. Perfect fit with the changeable ear rubbers, which makes the bass thick and creamy with no 'buzz' or dampening effects. And i listen to very heavy music sometimes at full volume. They also pick up the accents of easy listening, allowing piano, drum, or other instruments to be expressed fully. Drums really sound amazing, like those of Bear McCreary's BSG Taiko drums for example (Think 'Storming New Caprica). I recommend using with a HTC HD phone, which have sound drivers that produce louder and acoustically clearer music than iPods etc (In my experience). To stress the sound quality, i am a music lover that listens to music for emotional aspects, so i always need high quality headphones. Because they are 'Hooked', they never come lose like non-hooked sets, but not only that, they never just 'sit' on the ear where in headphones that do that loose all the bass to the air and allow noise from the environment in. They come with 3 sizes of ear rubbers that can be changed in a second. And to note, i have payed around £80.00 for headphones in the past from Sony - they simply are not only as good, these are better - and i know what i am talking about when it comes to headphones. The hooks also do not look silly like some of the JVC hooked sets, and hug the ear in comfort as they are flexible. These are the best value for money and high quality music processing earphones i own. I also own large stereo headsets from Tritton, (See link at bottom of page)- and these are still better, because they fit directly into the ear channel. Consider these for their price in relation to build quality, sound processing reproduction, activity usability (like running for the train when you are late!!!) and what they look like wearing them.Packaging is just like a shelf stocked product like you would find in P.C World etc.Tritton AX 180: Universal Gaming Headset (PS3/Xbox 360/PC/Mac)Cheers!

Auricolare Philips

Great earphones, I only use the earhook style for years, I think it gives me a much more confortable listening experience, plus I can jog with them without having to ajust them every ten steps.I know this model has been discontinued by Phillips, I have yet to evaluate the new model, but this one is certainly worth the price. It comes with three different sized earbubs so you can mix and match to your innear ear cavity.
