So easy to use and work well
So easy to use and work well. A bit more info for how long to leave the bags in place would be great but other than that - great. I'd buy these again next year that's for sure

Very disappointing
These sachets have been a huge disappointment. I have a red spider mite problem in my conservatory. I have used chemical controls in the past, but that only ever reduced the problem temporarily and after a month the mites were back again. Biological control seemed the way to go forward. So in preparation for their use, I carefully washed down each side of every leaf of every plant (massive job) to ensure there were no chemical residues from previous treatments. This was a month after I last used chemical controls. Well as soon as this biological control arrived, I immediately took the sachets out of the packaging and hung them in the plants. I used a lot of sachets. Now over 3 weeks have gone by and my red spider mite problem has become a major infestation. Looking over the leaves with a powerful lens I can see no sign of the predatory mites. Similarly I cannot spot any on the branches, stems or surface of the sachets. Out of interest, I tore one sachet open to examine the contents. I found just 1 predatory mite alive. Either they have all left the sachets (of which there is no sign) or the sachets had no been stored correctly (or too long) and no mites are left alive. Either way I now have no choice but to go back to the chemicals to get this infestation back under control. This is hugely disappointing as I had hoped to eliminate the problem now so that there would be no pests left to overwinter (as recommended in the description).

Red Spider biological control
On first inspection there were some mites active on the suface of the sachets.Unfortunately I think the infestation of red spider on my plants was too advanced to be reduced by a biological system.I left the sachets in situ for 3 weeks, inspecting the plants daily. There was a noticeable reduction of red spider on the smaller plants with a few leaves but larger ones with denser foliage seemed worse. The red spider was not entirely eradicated, therefore I reluctantly had to resort to spraying with insecticide.I keep an open mind on whether biological control is an effective alternative to spraying, maybe it works on small infestations when they first occur.
