Lion Brand Yarn Company 1-Piece Wool-Ease Thick and Quick, Oatmeal

I thought I'd have a bash at knitting. I started off with some cheap general purpose wool and really struggled with the yarn fraying. I then bought this thick wool and can highly recommend it for starting out at knitting. I made a few table mats 20 x 20 stitches and it was a good project to start on. I'm sure the wool has plenty of applications, it really looks nice.

Lovely wool, knitted up beautifully, really good value too. Both colours are great.

My wife needed these for a specific pattern - expensive but could not find a UK equivalent. This is a VERY thick wool.

Allowed myself to be sucked in to ordering the yarn recommended in the FREE Lion Brand pattern without considering that it had to be shipped from the States! £30 for one pair of socks is a bit excessive! But they are lovely!

Soft thick yarn which is easy to work with. Colour is the same as the picture.

A good thick yarn which knits up very well with good results.

I can't say enough praise about this yarn, and always come back to it as my go-to thick yarn for blankets/afghans.I have used many colors and all turns out well.The pictures are the latest lapghan made with color oatmeal.My ONLY complaint is that the bundles should be offered in more colors as there as less changes of balls when making a large item.If I used Navy, I could make this item with only 5 balls, but this color needed 10 balls.Bernat Blanket can be bought in small or big balls; Lion Brand should offer the same, and I would buy less Bernat and more Lion Brand.I must finish by saying Lion Brand Thick and Quick yarns are a pleasure to use for knitting.

Prima di recensire il prodotto vorrei fare un appunto sulla spedizione.Ho ordinato vari gomitoli della Lion Brand lunedì 12 dicembre per un totale di 8 gomitoli, tutti di colori diversi a parte 2 colori ordinati x2. Questi 8 gomitoli sono stati consegnati da ben 3 corrieri differenti in 4 consegne avvenute tra martedì 13 e venerdì 16 dicembre; in poche parole hanno diviso l'ordine in tantissime spedizioni diverse dividendo anche i gomitoli ordinati dello stesso colore. Ad oggi ho ricevuto tutti i gomitoli in perfette condizioni, ognuno all'interno di un sacchetto di plastica sigillato.Quindi se volete ordinare più di un gomitolo attenzione perché molto probabilmente verranno spediti in giorni diversi. La quinta stella manca solo per questo, sarebbe più comodo che venissero spediti tutti quanti insieme :)Venendo ai gomitoli: generalmente lavoro con filati misto lana/alpaca di buona qualità quindi non sapevo cosa aspettarmi da un filato 80% acrilico e 20% lana ma alla fine ne sono rimata contenta! Il filato è molto morbido e caldo, non da fastidio quando lo si lavora e i colori sono davvero stupendi. L'unica pecca è che sui ferri "stride" un po' (tipica cosa che accade con l'acrilico) e che risulta leggermente lucido (ma proprio poco). Sarebbe fantastico se un giorno questi filati diventassero 100% lana :)Detto ciò, consiglio di provare questi gomitoli!
