Yes it is quite expensive once you have purchased the battery charger and battery separately. I bought the heavy duty 4.0amp battery to cut bushes near our beach hut as there is no electricity so no chance of recharging the battery without returning home.Good lightweight tool but the heavy duty battery adds weight. When the handle is extended and used horizontally, it is quite heavy. I have fairly strong arms but at that angle you have to take frequent rests.The telescopic handle only adds about a foot but it is sufficient for most purposes. The head rotates very easily using a quick release button and locks into any position you could want.The cutters work efficiently and cut through thicker stems than I expected, having been used to an old Bosch corded model.It is the only model I could find with a lithium battery, which can be recharged at any state of discharge, without fear of acquiring a "memory" like NiMH models.Overall I am very pleased with it, but have only used it twice for about 45 mins in total. Durability unknown but looks well-made. Will update if any problems.A pity it does not come as a bundled item complete with battery and charger (which seems to have caught some buyers out) but it does make this clear in the description.

Returned as the design is really awkward to handle, especially when in the right angle position, seemed quite heavy too. Shame as I have a number of Greenworks garden tools which I'm really pleased with.

After much browsing of other products, and reviews, I opted for this one, assuming the 24 V battery would give longer running time and more power in use. I initially assembled it and found it didn't switch on, then came an interesting, reassuring experience. I phoned the support number and was asked if I would like the strimmer picked up the following day! I said that, meanwhile, I would continue to try it, and realised I had boobed by not inserting the tube the correct way round, so power connections were the wrong way round too. A quick call and the collection was cancelled. I then gave the strimmer it's first try-out, on a couple of hedges and it worked very well indeed. It is ruggedly constructed, with alloy and no plastic tubing. Yes, it is weighty, but makes quick work of cutting. Worth mentioning that both charger and battery have indicator lights, so while strimming you can check the remaining charge in the battery on the strimmer. 20 minutes work dropped the green lights from 3 to 2.

Pretty good - does the trick on large shrubs, not as powerful as mains devices but enough to tackle anything I need it to - a tall pyrocanthus amongst others. Works through thicker branches than expected. Seems pretty well built. Other reviews suggest this comes with no battery or charger, so I ordered separately - but it came with a 2A battery and a charger with a two-pin US plug... Ho hum really

I'm pretty impressed with the cutting ability of the trimmer and the battery life is best you can expect from a cordless device. The trimmer is a bit heavy and can be difficult if totally extended would be useful having a shoulder strap.As far as performance it is very good.

bought this Greenworks hedge trimmer previously and have used it on a semi commercial basis. Excellent piece of kit. So much lighter and safer than petrol versions. Battery life reasonable. Have found it so useful and it is my go-to trimmer. Great value for money compared to the likes of Stilh.

Not made clear that this item required both a battery and a charger therefore doubling the cost. If that was not bad enough the charger was "out of stock" and not known when or IF it will ever be in stock. A total waste of time and effort

Très commode pour les haies larges et pour les travaux à distance. Peut aussi s'utiliser pour couper des ronces sur une forte pente lorsqu'un équipement plus lourd est difficile à manier.

Esta podadora eléctrica de alcance regulable ha sido sin duda una buena adquisición, su capacidad de carga, nos permite hacer una buena cantidad de trabajo sin tener que recargar la pila.Para mi gusto le falta un poco más de altura pues en algunos lugares aun teniéndola totalmente extendida, me queda corta.entrega rápida y bien embalada.Muy satisfecho.
