Having used various 'regular' sharpening stones in the past, the suggested use of this stone was new to me. The included 'guide' seems to work fairly well with larger knives, but not well at all with pocket knives or paring knives. That said, after a few minutes learning what worked best for me, it does a great job of sharpening! The stones are 'softer' than what I had been used to, so they will visibly wear down over time. But the sharpness and quality of the work it does makes it worth it.

It served it's purpose

Worked well the supplied guide to keep the blade at a 45 worked well. This is a good product for the larger kitchen knives. I was unable to get the guide to work with the smaller knives in the set. It could just be me though.

Nice sharpening kit. Just got this to put a razors edge on my folders.

I have never sharpened knives before, but this stone sharpeners was easy to use and my knives are no longer dull👍

Easy instructions

This is the first stone I have used on my knives. The guide it comes with helps to learn the correct angle to hold the knife at. eight to fifteen passes and a knife feels much sharper. Good product for the price.
