Fifth Gear Waterproof Protective Rear Auto Car Seat Dog Pet Cover

This is the second one of these I have purchased. Having bought one for myself last summer I bought one for my wife's car. We have a dog that seems to attract mud and sand and then bring it back to the car, so something like this was necessary. I've had a similar product previously in black but the waterproofing in the fabric disintegrated after a couple of washes. This product has survived numerous washes now and although it is showing inevitable signs of wear it still does its job. I haven't needed to use the zip on it but the holes for the seat belt holders could be better made as the velcro fasteners (not shown in the picture on Amazon) can let some debris through if they aren't well sealed and even then they can come undone. It can also be awkward to get the seat belt holders through the gaps but that is probably due to them sitting flush on our cars. Given the price it represents good value for money and does a good job of protecting the car seats.

Good idea for leather seats as the straps stop it from sliding off.Also perfect colour match.Don't see the point of the zip as it is too low down to be effective but doesn't affect its use.Contains everything-hair,sand,mud and water. What a difference to the state of the car after doggy days out!. I just unhook it , ,shake it out and fold it away for the next time.Have machine washed it at 30* and it air dried quickly.Just don't yet know if washing it will affect the waterproof qualities but so far so good.Heavy duty material,the best I've tried so far.Would recommend.

ive given this four stars, mainly due to the excellent customer service that i received.i did have a faulty product and contacted the supplier and it was dealt with immediately and i am very happy with the outcome.the product itself (when not faulty) is good, its easy to install and is thick but pliable and makes a good waterproof/dirtproof cover for theback seat, nice neutral colour, dog doesnt get too hot on it either.

I like the way this product is easy to clip into place, I have a dog guard attached to the back of my front seats and I put the rear seat down. This sheet covers the boot area and the back of the rear seat while covering the gap between the front and folded down rear seat as I have the straps clipped around the guard and front headrests. The downside of this product is the overpowering sort of rubbery smell! I have washed it several times but it still smells a bit weird, not worse than wet dog though!

Doesn't last long but this is reflected in the price.

Decided on purchasing two of these seat covers, as we use both cars for our dog and needed these. The covers fit well with clip on fastenings around the rear head rests. The covers have two flaps which open for the seat belt to fit through. The covers are a good material and of a high standard for the money, around £7, only drawback really is the colour, would have prefaced black, but on the whole good seat covers.

I purchased this a few months ago now. It covers the seat well and does the job but only for a few months. The attachment of the clip that goes round the headrest and clips onto the main bulk of the material has stretched the material which has caused it to rip and come away. This has happened before with a similar seat cover I bought that was from the AA..an offer in one of the motorway petrol stations. It is a shame as apart from this design flaw the car seat cover is ideal. I now need to purchase another one and no doubt this will happen again.

This was a good price compared to many and it does serve its purpose well. It also fits easily over the headrests and is on in a trice. The only downside is that the dog (not ours sadly) is fairly small and does tend to slip and slide about as you turn corners. We try to remember to put a towel down over it to give him more grip.
