Great quality - hours of building/creating and constructing
Bought for my sons' christmas present - he hasnt looked at it once. However, Engineer husband has not left it alone for 5 minutes making every conceivable thing under the sun! There are so many different combinations, the set is really great and nice quality - suitable for all ages!!!

My class loved this.
My class loved this...I have some budding 10 year old engineers and this is the next step in their understanding. They're working their way through the booklet of models before incorporating the pieces in my big box of Knex ready to build the clock tower they're planning.

Good for 8+. Younger children may struggle
Bought for my 6 year old, which is clearly below the recommended age, as he loves mechanical things. However, he doesn't have the phyiscal strength to attach/detach some of the pieces together per the instructions. Also, the instructions themselves, while clear for adults, do cover a lot on one page and so small children may miss bits. i.e. I think that 8+ is the right target age if they want to build stuff on their own

A good start for beginners.
This kit can help teach you what you can do with gears. The instructions are really helpful and easy to understand, and the parts are so easy to put together.
