I bought this as I wanted a flip back lid litter tray. I've never plugged it in. For £35 - this was the best value litter box on here. I use a litter locker, so didn't really need the scoop at first, but it's just so handy, its the main one I use. The shape keeps the litter and smell in, mostly. I'm playing around with the litter, but right now I can go about 10 days before I have to change the litter. It's right next to be bedroom, so the one advantage of having the filiter would be to switch it on if you were too tired to do it at night. I probably could have used that last night, thinking about it! It's large enough for a 8kg cat to fit in, but if they did out grow it, you could just flip the lid back. Easy pee-sy

Was fine whilst it worked, but then the extractor fan broke and it looks like it cannot be replaced. Also horribly expensive to run in terms of changing the filter. Nice idea, but really not worth the money.

I bought this before my kitty came to live with us as we'd read so much about pongy cats and didn't want her whiffing out the house. As it is, she doesn't make any nasty smells, no matter how close we get to her litter box - we must be feeding her the right stuff. Still, she loves this box and uses it without the hood. She's a big lass, now and still fits in. It's attractive to look at, easy to clean, has a useful storage 'pocket' for the scoop and, if we ever do need it, there's the fan, too.

Pros of this litter box: nice and big. The cats don't get stuck in it. Easy to clean. When something truly horrible happens, or when the litter kicks up a bunch of dust, the fan takes care of it nicely. Cons of this litter box: the fan is loud and noisy. The cats won't go near it if the fan's running, and it's irritating to me, too. The net effect is that it's not possible to run the fan all the time. Instead I run it only when absolutely necessary, reducing the potential odour reduction effect. Which is too bad, since that's why I bought it in the first place.

I had high hopes for this, but it has not really met them.Firstly, it has a 2 pin plug which I was unaware of so had to chase down an adaptor just to use it. Next while it's large (great for my biggest cat) the low lip at the front means that much more of the litter is cast onto the floor whenever they are digging to cover.The filters are great (but aren't they all at the beginning) however when I switch it on, its a little high pitched which totally freaked the cats out. Next, after a while it gave off this horrible plasticy smell so while it reduced the overall "cat crap" smell, it decided to add its own,Putting it together was a pain as it felt very flimsy and there was a lot of huffing to get the pieces clicked together without breaking it. Felt like if you pushed too hard something would snap. I do love the roll back lid which makes cleaning it out a lot easier.OverallPros* Great size* love the roll back top* strong filters* like that there's a holder for the scoopcons* Not a great noise when filter is on* Has a funny smell* Low lip allows for a lot of cat litter to be kicked outNot great for the price of it. Just received the litter box. Hard to assemble because each slot has to be lined up just so and snapped into place exactly. One issue I have is the plug is Eu plug. We ordered via UK website and in uk. No uk adaptor supplied within box. So now I have to purchase an adapter for the litter box before we even can try it out. Once we try it I will update.

Looks good and does reduce odour significantly, very, very fiddly to put together, quite flimsy. At first our cats approached it warily due to the noise of the fan, after a few "incidents" on the back door mat, they seem to have accepted it, although don't climb into it as confidently as they did with the old open litter box, have had to leave the lid up for a couple of weeks for them to get used to it.
