Good fun item - I bought this specifically to hook up to my garage door opener in line with the WEMO products. Had it tested and working within 10mins and fully wired in neatly in around 30mins. I am tempted to have another one to play with on other gadgets around the home.

Buy it if you have the electrical skills and love gadgets!
Excellent device for people who are able to make their own simple control systems. It has simple and useful functionality. IFTTT integration adds many functions. A basic level of electrical knowledge/competence is required. An understanding of how to safely configure basic switching circuits using additional appropriately rated relays/switches etc for example would be necessary.It has one pair of no-volt output relay contact terminals which can only handle a max of 24VAC/DC at 1 amp. The internal relay can be controlled via pushbuttons on the Wemo Maker device, via the Wemo app or by IFTTT. To switch any larger powered devices (e.g. heaters and lighting circuits) you would need to use the internal relay to trigger an external relay and possibly also use the external relay to drive a contractor for those loads requiring a much higher power feed.The Wemo Maker also has three "sensor" terminals which facilitate the use of any no-volt external switch or relay contacts to switch between a triggered or non-triggered state. This input can be used to activate the internal relay and/or to trigger something remotely using IFTTT for example. The term "sensor input" might be considered misleading by some as the input is for a switched on/off signal only and not at all for analogue inputs.
