I wanted a vacuum to supplement my robot vacuum. The budget robot vacuum I bought leaves dust in corners. I was going to get a handheld portable vacuum but this one has twice the suction power and was cheap in an Amazon warehouse deal.It's small and light and has a 3m power cord. It is very noisy and gets hot quickly and there's a distinct smell after a few minutes of use. However I don't use it for long periods because it's mainly spot cleaning I use this for. It's only on for a few minutes at a time so the noise, heat and smell aren't an issue.It cleans very well on my concrete floors. I have a small patch of carpet and my robot vacuum can't handle but this portable vacuum was perfect to clean this.It comes with a hose and a couple of attachments. These are made of plastic which feels cheap to the touch and not like the metallic red plastic used on the hoover. It's not really an issue for the price I paid, The red plastic on the vacuum feels expensive but it's not really important for me for a vacuum cleaner. There's also a very basic plastic strap that you can use to sling this vacuum over your shoulder instead of caring in your hand. The plug also feels cheap and like it might break with repeated use but attaching a multiplug permanently on the vacuum plug should help with this issue. There's a small washable filter too - check the photos.I paid less than £20 and it suits my needs and offers much higher suction power than battery operated portable vacuums. The 3m power cord is fine for my small flat.
