Pettex Reptile Substrate Tortoise Soil Bedding, 10 L

For the last year I have been using this for my tortoise. I love the quality, the texture is soft and moist before air and the light drys it out which is great for us. Easy to clean as I scrap the top layer and underneath is still clean.

Great for hamsters and better value than the 5kg Trixie offer and actually... This is a finer grade without being too dusty. Fantastic. Nearly twice as much for just £2 extra.

This is the second time i purchased this item, which is for my hamsters, who absolutely love it.It is good quality, safe and also good value for money (the plastic bag it comes in is definitely not to my expectations) the first time i purchased. had a small hole on the side and leaked a little , second time had a larger hole on the bottom.The courrier who delivered the sand , was kind enough to place the leaking bag ( which he delivered) in a plastic carrier bag, otherwise I would have had half a bag.The reason i give this 4 stars is because of the rubbish plastic is comes in.Not sure if I will order again, unless the plastic is much thicker.

I did extensive research on bathing sand before getting gerbils and this one is perfect! They love bathing in it. I wish I'd found this when I had dwarf hamsters. I always used Tiny Friends Farm bathing sand for each of my hamsters, which I've since learnt is dust rather than sand, making it unsuitable. This is real sand and doesn't have anything added to it. It isn't dusty at all and perfectly safe.On reflection, I should've bought the smaller bag. I misjudged the size (😅), so mine will last me a long time. 😂 It's excellent value for money though and worth every penny for healthy and happy gerbils! I now wouldn't buy anything else.

Really soft sand which my beardie seems to love. It's nice seeing his little foot prints in the sand too, as well as scale prints where he's been resting his belly lol. It's a nice beachy colour and seems good quality.This 1 bag was big enough for a 4ft viv with good coverage and a bit of depth.Great price for the amount you get.

I bought this sand for my hamsters after using a brand that, although cheaper, was much coarser and always turned up split, and a different brand that although the sand was great was much more expensive. This sand is the best of both worlds. It is soft, not dusty, and I’ve not had a problem with splits on arrival. Can’t recommend it enough

Looks Fine. However chose tonot use it because upon reading up sand can cause impaction for tortoisesingesting sand and irritate eyes. So ended up not using it and going for organic natural soil
