Amazing chicken.
This is good for steaming veg and fish, not to mention cooks fish amazingly well but I think chicken is my favourite. This steamer is digital with a very easy to use control panel with up to 99 mins cooking. Which is more than enough. The two plastic steaming bowls stack easily if you want to steam multiple things at once and the rice bowl will steam rice of about a cups worth each time. They really have made it simple by adding 7 pre-set buttons for the most commonly steamed foods. There’s also a diagram on the front of the steamer to help you with the pre-sets. If the water level gets too low you can easily add more water via the inlet without having to stop it. You can see the water level on the front.I’m really loving this steamer, so easy to use and the food is cooks so quickly and with It has a large capacity a meal for the family's done in no time. There is no delay timer or keep warm function, but it will stay warm for a good hour anyway. It does release a bit of steam, but nothing like a few saucepans would have to do for the same amount of food being cooked. Its easy to clean the base with just a cloth and the trays can be put in the dishwasher. They are 40cm long x 27cm wide x 10cm tall.Compared to other steamers we have had the food is cooked better as not so much of the steam escaped.I am very impressed with this one.

Really good but incredibly fiddly to use
I use this to steam multiple Christmas puddings for 12 hours. It's the only steamer I have found that is large enough and I can get eight 1lb puddings in at a time. You can keep topping up the water over the course of the day using the side spout without having to remove the baskets which is a big help. But, and it's a big BUT, it takes me ages just to switch the damn thing on. Every time I use it I get confused and the instructions are no help at all. You have to select programme 8 (custom programme) and then set the time you want it to run but somehow I always end up programming a delay time rather than a cooking time, or I can't get it to start, or something else is wrong. I try to write instructions for myself but by the time I have got the unit working I have tried so many different things I don't know how I got it to work. It could really do with a few more buttons, a better display, a simpler user interface, and a decent manual.

Good but not perfect.
I normally use a stainless steel steamer on a gas hob, and in comparison, I prefer this steamer for the following reasons:There is less heat in the kitchen (no hot air from the gas). The steamer has a timer and can be left to switch itself off. The clear walls allow sight of the food. This particular steamer is a good size and allows a good selection of veg, or 'long" things to be placed inside. It is silent (no roar from the gas). Hot metal does discolour after a while, and time will tell how durable the plastic steamer is.The disadvantages are that the top rim of the boxes are not identical. I used one on it's own (the bottom one) and found that hot water built up in the lip of the edge and trickled down the outside and onto the work-top. Not a flood, but, a design fault all the same, and the water still has to be wiped away. When two trays were used, in the right position, this did not happen. The instructions are written by a "non-native" speaker, and require a bit of head-scrathing.

I also find the food is cooked better as not so much of the steam escapes
So much more user friendly than the average 3 tier steamer. I also find the food is cooked better as not so much of the steam escapes. The oblong shape is also more user friendly. Has a large capacity. Put the food which takes the longest to cook in first e.g. potatoes, carrots, suede then gradually add your softer veg like broccoli, sprouts, cabbage, courgettes. believe me it will take all of this in only one tier.(cooking for two to three persons.Rinse all after use and sry, good as new every time. LOVE IT.

Looks good. It ends there.
I've had this steamer for over 6 months now. It's one of a fairly decent list of steamers I've owned over a long period of time. As I've already had multiple purchases, thought I'd splash on a higher quality item.Tbh, don't bother. One basket has already cracked, the bottom one has bowed slightly, so the seal is broken. The programme selection takes some firm pushing (so I need to hold the whole item with the other hand). As ease of use goes, a thirty quid item tops it. As far as actually steaming food goes - performance is no better than any cheaper steamer I've had & it's been the quickest to acquire a breakage. All in all - the best feature is the glass lid & even that doesn't fit both baskets too well.

Poor instructions but nice steamer
A quote from the handbookAfter choose 1 to 7 cooking programs, press "START/OFF" to begin to cook, in the meanwhile the clock counts down the indicator is on. When "00:00" displays on the LCD, four times sound speak and the indicator flashes continually tell that cooking is OK.Don't know why they don't get someone who actually speaks English to write the manual But after all is said and done it wasn't hard to work out and I like it. It works well my main use is for vegetables and I find a quick rinse afterwards is all that is needed. there is a tray between the food and water tank that stops the water in the tank becoming contaminated. I have only used it 3 times it works well so hope it lasts.
