Yes it's a fantastic device for keeping track of your blood glucose levels.You can use it as many times as you like.I have found it easy and relatively inexpensive to use, and it has helped me both control my blood glucose and also lose weight over the last nine months or so. Also worthy of note is the company who supplied the monitor and who I get the test strips from, (Home Health), who are extremely reliable to deal with

Q: dose the reading for this go 5.5 ???

If your reading is 5.5 it is just very slightly over what it should be 'I think' My readings vary from 2.9 to 4.7 - my wife who is borderling diabetes reads 5.0 to 6.5, my brother in law who is a diabetic reads 7.8 to 10.4 so I assume 5.5 is as I said. Hope this helps.

Q: Can I use this kit to check for ketosis?

I am really sorry but I am not qualified to answer this. For my part I have type 2 diabetes and control this with diet and prescribed statins etc. I use my Blood Glucose Monitor and find it invaluable in controlling my sugar. Sorry I cannot help further. Good luck.
