Surprise for Pocoyo (Pocoyo) (Step into Reading) Paperback – August 7, 2012

A good book for learning to read!!! My granddaughter love it!!! I have been reading it with her and she also read it!

my 18 month old daughter is obsessed with Pocoyo. I even bought all the Spanish books because you can’t find them in English. Wish they would start manufacturing them again.

I bought this book because my son (3 1/2) has learned his letters and is just starting to read simple (3 letter) words. Also, he loves Pococyo so I thought this would be a win/win. While it is a cute book and my son loves it he needs quite a bit of help to read it because many of the words are irregular words that do not follow the rules of phonics (for example, "coming," and "friends"). Very beginning level books should use mostly small words that young children can sound out. He can get some of the words by looking at the picture but the point of getting these books for him was so that he would have something to help him read on his own. For entertainment they are fine, for learning to read, I wouldn't recommend them.

I always make sure to give a gift to my other grandson when I give one to the one having the birthday. This worked out well when I sent a Pocoyo coloring book (with crayons) to the two year old for his birthday, so I could send this to the almost five year old who will be learning to read soon. They tell me it was a hit! Yay!

This is a great early reader for our 3 year old. She loves Pocoyo and this book features all the cast of characters plus has an easy story to follow. Since getting it for her, we've had to read it about 100 times. Added bonus, it comes in paperback so travels well, we took it on a plane ride, good for keeping her amused.

We love it !! My daughter is doing great w/ reading !! She liked to read this . Book was late but not to bad considering it had Christmas and New Years to contend with ! its a cute book and great for beginner readers !!!!

Compré varios libros de pocoyo sin fijarme en que eran de tapa blanda. Con el problema de que a mi hijo le gusta romper las hojas de papel, y los libros de cartón los dobla... Me da un poco de miedo dejárselo porque sé que le va a durar poco. Pero bueno, en unos meses probaré con uno de ellos y veremos qué pasa...
