Amazing product

I have always found Seagate to be an excellent brand.I'm using this unit, essentially, as an expansion for my PC's memory. It remains attached to the computer at all times.This rather rubbishes the idea of it being portable, of course, but I COULD port it about if I wanted to.Works fine as an additional PC file storage unit; I also have a couple of programs and several games on it which I run from it on my PC, no lag, no problems; it might just as well be an internal and integral part of the PC, even though it sits on the outside in a little furry bag.When I first got it, I did use it for a bit of data transfer between machines, no problems there either.I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a portable drive or a PC extension of this memory size. Quality at a decent price.

Got this for my Xbox series S. Formatting took a few seconds then I was able to transfer some games over. It took about 13 mins to transfer an 80gb game which is brilliant. The drive is really small (palm sized) and sleek looking so fits right in, or can be hidden out of view behind the Xbox.Registering the drive with Seagate is quite a quick process, make sure to do this on a PC before you format because you'll want to keep a copy of the files that it comes with (warranty info etc).I've seen a few reviews about the packaging being dodgy, this drive comes in what's called "frustration free packaging"; in other words it will come in a plain looking brown box. Many tech brands use this, such as Tecknet or Sennheiser. It's not an indication straight away that the drive is a fake but it's always a good idea to check storage devices properly anyway even if it comes in more fancy packaging.

This is the third Seagate drive I have purchased in just under five years (they are used in different locations to store/transfer different things) and they have always been trouble-free.They are particularly useful for storing data permanently on a drive which you want never to be connected to the internet. They are also useful for transferring/replicating files from one hard drive to another when each computer is in a different location.The only issue might be that it has a short USB cable and the end that fits the Seagate drive is a non-standard connector so may be difficult to replace easily should that become necessary.

Great for storage so far had a few of them now for a few years everything is good about what you woukd expect only thing I had a gripe about which was resolved is the fact that it said 2TB but actual size is 1.81TB which I would not personally advertise as a 2TB however it does seem that everyone does this I do however think this is a bad practise that should be stopped anyway in light of that they do work and have been useful to me barely taking up any space either

This is the 6th seagate HD I have purchased, never let me down and great value for money. I use these for keeping my music collections safe as I'm a DJ, great piece of kit, very quick transfer, this 12TB version is for a full back up of some of my other ones. would recommend

Purchased this little gem to avoid paying £200 for the Xbox series S expansion card.I did my research on so many of these like my life depended on it and saw so many negative reviews for every expansion I came across.A lot of reviews complained that you can't play Xbox series s/x games through the hard drive itself & it's true, but don't let that put you off.All you have to do is move the Xbox series S/X game from the storage card to the xbox storage. It's as simple as that and takes less than 2 minutes to do which is far less time when compared to downloading a new game.Its worth noting that you can only play the backwards compatible games through the hard drive.So no complaints from me on this one I'm super happy with this purchase.

I purchased this from Amazon to help save copies of my photos and videos from my old 500GB iMac, which had lots of them and for technical reasons could not back them up via iCloud. This item from Seagate works well with Apple iMacs and other apple products so I had no issues. This hard drive can back up data from PC and laptops, but requires a bit of formatting for iMac before being used for data storage. This item has 2TB, which is more then enough for me as I had used just more then half of the storage. I had no problems with this whatsoever and it helped create a copy of each photo and video by simply selecting the file and dragging it in just as advertised and the USB 3.0 cable that comes with it is short but very effective. Glad I got this product and would recommend this or larger capacity items like 4TB if you got lots of photos, videos or other data that you do not wish to lose.
