The three old batteries charged up just fine. But not this one

The one I got arrived DOA, but more importantly it will not take a charge. Let me elaborate, please. I also purchased from Amazon a new four place battery charger. It came in the same box as this battery. I put three batteries I have had here at home for several years and this new one in the charger. The three old batteries charged up just fine. But not this one. What ever happened to quality control? Amazon should change their review system and allow for zero stars. (How about it Amazon????) I
