Cascade Free & Clear Dishwasher Detergent Liquid Gel, Dish Detergent, Dishwasher Soap, Lemon, 75oz

After our dishwasher recently broke down - and hours of research later - we got rid of our dishwasher pods for good. These somehow never really dissolved completely and always left chunks and residue. We also learnt that this can cause parts of the dishwasher to become clogged and eventually break down. Hence we decided to go back to previously tried and true liquid dish soap and tried out Cascade Free & Clear Dishwasher Detergent, which exceeded our expectations. The Cascade Free & Clear is an easy to pour gel type detergent with a mild lemon scent from essential oils. It doesn't contain harsh chemicals like chlorine bleach, phosphates or dyes. Nonetheless it has strong cleaning power and is highly efficient, leaving no residue and no chemical odor after washing. In fact our dishes are cleaner now than they ever were with pods. The glasses sparkle without streaks and the flatware is spotless. Furthermore, a little goes a long way - we found we only need to fill the detergent compartment about 1/3 and it cleans a full dishwasher load. Overall the Cascade Free & Clear Dishwasher Detergent is a powerful alternative to overrated dishwasher pods with much better results and great value for money. We'll definitely purchase again and are very happy with this detergent.

My favorite dishwasher detergent! It has a great ewg score which makes me feel better about using it. We wash everything including our baby bottles in the dishwasher and this works great! No streaks or sud stains. Smells good and no plastic smell.

Really like this detergent. It cleans well AND doesn’t leave your pots and pans smelling fragranced, which I feel all the pods do.

We switched from dishwasher pods because we wanted to avoid the dissolvable plastic film, dyes, and other unnecessary ingredients. We also never felt that the pods did a particularly good job of getting our dishes clean. We have been using this Free & Clear detergent for several months, and it has worked much better for us. Our dishes come out clean without streaks, water spots, or detergent residue. It doesn’t contain dyes, but it does have a light scent. Thankfully, the scent isn’t overpowering and doesn’t linger on the dishes. We are very happy with the results and plan to continue using it. I would definitely buy it again.

I made the switch about a month ago from the regular Cascade that I’ve used for 4 continuous years to the clear version. I must say, I am much more calmer in my home since switching products and I also have less headaches. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the perfume/scent. I overfilled my detergent compartment and when I took out clean dishes to use, the items contaminated my food because the product was too strong. Specifically, I boiled water in a glass safe bowl in the microwave and when I took the bowl out, it smelled like strong perfume. I had to then handwashing the bowl. The same thing happened with a fork; I took a fork out of the dishwasher to taste my mashed potatoes and after eating the potatoes from the fork, I tasted perfume/soap. It was scary and I was very unhappy. Because I already paid for the product, I kept it. I now use a lot less of the product and it seems to work much better without leaving a perfume/soap taste. I do want to acknowledge how well this product cleans dishes while leaving no water stains at all. Again, I use less detergent for a better result. The package directions will tell you to use more for larger loads but DO NOT use more because you’ll probably have the same issue. Just rinse your dishes free of food reside before loading them into the dishwasher to cleaned. I usually did this with the regular cascade as well anyway.

This Cascade Free & Clear is great and it gets my dishes clean with no Residue. I like this better than the Pods. I will buy again, Thank You 😊

I don’t care for extra “stuff” like dyes…I don’t need blue colored “stuff” to wash my dishes! I’m a long time Cascade user & so happy they are free & clear of extraneous stuff!
