Works Perfectly
Great idea. Well thought out design. Quality materials and build. Some motorcycles (with narrow clip-ons) don't do well with soft hooks on the grips. The angle to the chock is too close to the fairing when you cinch the tie-downs tight and it ends up chafing. This design opens up the angle by moving the anchor hooks further away from the fairing, and ALSO increases the leverage point requiring less pressure on the fork seals to hold the bike firmly. Add the fact that they are extremely easy and intuitive to use correctly. Liked it so much, bought another for my other bike.

GREAT PRODUCT BUT BULKY AND HEAVY
I purchased the Canyon Dancer 36505 Bar Harness II for a trip across Lake Michigan on the S.S. Badger. As I ride a 2011 Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra CVO, I was concerned about tie-downs damaging the fairing, and the Canyon Dancer seemed like the perfect solution. For the most part, it was. First off, they are simple to use and very well constructed. I've read other reviews complaining about the size of the cups, and they are large, but as my Harley has bulky, heated grips, the Canyon Dancer fit perfectly over them. Once on the bike, it's a simple matter to attach the tie downs for a firm, secure fit. We set sail from Ludington, Michigan and crossed Lake Michigan in 4' to 6' swells, so even a boat as large as the Badger moved around quite a bit, but the Canyon Dancers held fast and secure. My only issue is the size and weight. When you combine the Canyon Dancer with two tie-downs, they take up quite a bit of luggage capacity. We thought about mailing the Canyon Dancer and tie-downs home as soon as we arrived in Manitowoc, but opted to keep them with us. Next trip, I'll definitely mail the entire set-up home. Overall, great product for a reasonable price. The held my Harley securely in place without so much as a scratch. Highly recommended!

Stop tearing up your handle bar grips!!
I took my sportbike to the track on a few occasions, loaded up on my truck, and tied down with straps that tied around the handle bars. Each time I got to the track, the handle bar attachment point caused the bar grips to either slide partially off or get deformed. I needed a new way to tie down my bike and I picked up these. The Canyon Dancer II's have cups that go over the bar ends. After secured with your ratcheting tie downs, the CD II's hold very well. I took my bike out to another trackday using these and for once I didn't have to waste time trying to slip my bar grips back into place after unloading the bike. They worked so well and have such a quality feel and offer such piece of mind that the bike is safely secured, all my buddies bought one as well.Quality wise, the cups are made out of a hard "composite like" plastic which I can't imagine breaking. The cups are lined with a rubber liner so they do not mar your handle bars. The webbing material that comprises the straps are very heavy duty. There is a soft almost fleece like sleeve that sits between the cups which protect your tank from being scratched.Very quality product that serves its purpose well. I would highly recommend getting one if you need to transport your bike and need a great tie down system.

So much easier
So much easier than the multiple ratchet straps!!! My old set up would pull the hand grips down and I’d always worry about them coming off. I saw reviews and had to give them a try! Great buy!

Works well, but…
These work very well and held my mt-09 perfectly for a couple of trips. The only issue is that the system isn’t set up to work with the left control pod (light/horn/hazards) very well. When tensioned, the connecting strap presses upward into the control pod (it extends below the bar a bit further than older bikes with fewer controls). I shoved the sliding pad between them and it’s seems to be okay, but I’m guessing repeated use will mash the horn and Hazzard buttons or generally strain the control pod housing and cause problems eventually.
