While the description does say that sizing is a guideline, I find it severely skewed. The suggested size for anyone under 5'6" is 55 cm. There is NO WAY that a 5'6" person would fit this ball, whether you have a longer torso than legs or not. I am 4'11" so of course I opted for the 55 cm, being 7 whole inches under the recommended height. I am pretty well proportioned, I don't have long legs or a stunted torso, people are often surprised to realize up close how short I am because I don't look it. Yet I could barely even sit on this ball, my upper legs were angled up so high towards my chest. I also can't just exchange the size because my husband put the box in the recycling right away while I was waiting for the ball to get to room temperature per the instructions (it was in the hot sun all day after delivery) and the recycling truck came within a few hours, so I just completely wasted money on this ball.

I ordered two of these for my kids in their home school room. Both size 55 cm. They seem to be really good quality. But one is quite a bit bigger than the other. Looks to be about 2 inches bigger in diameter. Clearly the size on the box was wrong!

Doesn't stay inflated for very long. I am pregnant and sit on this every day and I have to re-inflate it once every two days.

Size was significantly smaller than the quoted measurement, perhaps 2/3 of the actual size, so definitely order one size larger. Quality is pretty good for home use.
