Q: What is the diameter of the 1-inch ? I know it's for 1-inch fittings, but the ID of the 1-inch fitting is actually 1.31 inches.

I believe 1-inch PVC pipe has an ID of 1.04 inches and an OD of 1.31 inches...The tool has a pilot that matches the pipe ID and cutting "blades" that match the OD of the pipe (which would be the ID of the fitting.)

Q: can this be used on PVC fitting at 60psi for residential water supply?

I don't see why not. I used it on my pvc fittings for my pool pump no problems. Should use a 1/2 drill for extra torque. I marked the depth of the fitting on the shaft with a sharpie so I didn't go to deep.

Q: Will one of these fit a piece of 1/2" cpvc (approx. od 7/8 and id 5/8)? i need to remove a 12" piece from an icf wall. Extension for drive shaft?

Sizing of CPVC is not the same as PVC, so these will not do the job if you intend to cut the CPVC pipe out of a socket fitting and replace it. (For PVC, this tool will cut the pipe out of a socket fitting and leaves the fitting the correct ID to cement in a new pipe.) The tool will work with the appropriate extension but the cutting action creates a lot of torque, so you will have to find a stout extension that will not twist.Hope this helps...good luck.

Is this a closet flange that can be used with both 3 and 4 inch pipe? If so, I think you need the 4 inch tool
