pro-environmently freindly and $ SAVING
One small choice to save the environment from detergent waste equals TONS of money saved in my pocketbook from not buying detergent. I skeptically washed my dog's smelly blanket with a pre-wash cycle, a wash cycle, and 2 rinse cycles.... no detergent... just my green ball. It turned out great and smelled fresh. All my clothes were done on a regular cycle, no extra rinses, and they came out great. My wash cloths that I take make up off with did better with a little shout spray vrs no spray. If you have clothes that are seriously very soiled I would recommend to shout it out 1st and maybe do pre-washes or extra rinses. This is a great little investment if it does 700 washes or lasts 3 years as they claim, it will save approximatly $360-$400.Do a good deed and save the environment and turn a friend onto it.

It really cleans. I have purchased three as a ...
Most recently one that I gave as a gift and mine broke open during the wash cycle. It was difficult to get all the green content out of my washer and clothes.

Some discrepancies, but the verdict it still out.
Just a couple of things. The description says good for up to 1,000 washes ... the box says good for an 18lb load of laundry every day for a year - so that's only 365.The title says lemon scented, but the "fine print" description says "fragrance free".At this point, I cannot attest to the quality of the ball, nor its laundering abilities.I used it for the first time today on two loads in my bottom-of-the-line 6-year-old GE toploader, along with 1/2 the normal amount of my homemade laundry detergent. It didn't break open and spill anything anywhere (and if it did, I'd probably just pop them into a cotton bag and continue using them that way, or superglue the ball back together ... I'm not one to give up without a fight). Got to say, though, my daughter's white socks didn't look any whiter than normal (I don't usually hand-scrub the (*&% out of them until they're pretty grey)... but that was a bit of a bummer. But for the price, I was more than willing to take a gamble.

I wanted to be a fan...but I'm not!
I received a sky blue ball instead of green...thats just an FYI, not a problem. My issue is with the actual cleaning ability of the ball. I washed a couple of loads with the ball then rewashed with a small amount of my usual laundry detergent. The second loads had a normal amount of dirty water when I checked the tub, as if the first washing did absolutely nothing.I ran another test with a normal amount of detergent and no ball, then rewashed the exact same load. The water was very clean while the second wash was running.
