United Cutlery M48 Cyclone, a very good buy at the price point.
This is an excellent option to the Microtech Jagdkommando. The Microtech Jagdkommando is a premium knife that has a premium price tag (the absolute bottom price that I have ever found was $300.00 - I would question this price, it is most likely the mini version.). The standard retail is around $1000.00. This original is made out of 440ss. The M48 Cyclone is made of asian class 420ss, 2CR13. The 420ss / 2CR13 is softer, low carbon steel. HOWEVER, for this knife, it may have benefit. This is a combat dagger that has very organic geometry. The geometry DOES pose sharpening challenges. I am trying to figure out how to sharpen it myself. 420ss / 2CR13 being easier to sharpen, for me, is desirable. It will slash well enough with a probable compound wound. It does come well sharpened, once again, for the geometry. The main focal point (no pun intended) of this knife is the three-sided, well-reinforced, sharp, wedged point. There are videos on line that demonstrate that picturing power of this M48 creation and it is at least highly acceptable, if not impressive. The wound cavities are impressive. The hole is broached rather than a more or less surgical slicing wound. In the field, an injury with the knife would be much more of a problem. The pyramid shaped pommel, is visibly a dangerous less than lethal option of the knife and is an improvement that exceeds the original. With a spiral blade as the M48 Cyclone, there is not a great United Cutlery option for blade retention. I am not a fan of the velcro. It does not merit a full star loss but I will say that if it were an option, I would deduct 1/2 star. No Issue with the thermoplastic at the price point. I am personally engineering an improved sheath with a better retainer for my own purposes. No, I would not baton with this knife. If you do, you really should not even own this knife. Size, shape, and balance, this knife will no-spin throw well. Me personally, in my experience, I would not do it. Hitting a moving target by throwing a knife, is NOT like the movies. There is a great chance that you will miss or not cause fight ending damage. This means that you have disarmed yourself and given a pretty fearsome weapon to your adversary. But this is only my experience. Perhaps, you may be of that elite level of expertise. You just better get it right the first time if you choose to potentially throw your weapon away. This is not the Microtech Jagdkommando or a direct competitor. It is a VERY competitive option. The sheath (velcro) is its worst feature and is functional. It does create noise (rattle) because of the shortcomings. The blade is 420ss (be careful what you wish for if there was ever a high carbon steel option - you may never properly sharpen it again) and is more that acceptable to me. The pommel exceeds the original. This is a very sold 4-1/2 star knife at this price point.

Great knife get one why you still can
The M48 Cyclone Dagger Knife is a serious piece of kit. It's made of high-quality stainless steel, has a piercing point that could easily puncture a tire, and is sharp enough to shave (dull honestly lol ) with. But it's also a lot of fun. The spiral blade is unique and looks really cool, and the glassbreaker pommel could come in handy in a pinch.I've had this knife for a few months now, and I've used it for everything from cutting open boxes to self-defense. It's always performed flawlessly, and I've never had any problems with it.The only downside to this knife is that it's a bit large. It's not really something you can carry around in your pocket, so it's best for home or car use. But if you're looking for a serious knife that can handle anything you throw at it, the M48 Cyclone Dagger is a great option. Here are some of the pros and cons of this knife:Pros:* Sharp blade* Unique spiral design* Glassbreaker pommel* Durable constructionCons:* Large size* Not ideal for concealed carryOverall, I'm very happy with the M48 Cyclone Dagger Knife. It's a well-made, high-quality knife that's perfect for home or car use. If you're looking for a serious knife that can handle anything you throw at it, I highly recommend it.But be warned: this knife is not for the faint of heart, it's powerful, and it's meant to be used for serious purposes. If you're looking for a toy, this is not the knife for you. But if you're looking for a reliable, high-quality knife that can protect you in a dangerous situation, the M48 Cyclone Dagger is a great option.

Nasty, would not want to be hit with this beast!
Very sharp, seems to be sturdy, and hope to use is on the end of a stick to kill game (hogs). The rubberized plastic sheath is very good.

Great knife, good weight, tip is sharp tri blades not as sharp, sheath is awful.
The media could not be loaded. Originally thought the sheath was nice until I put the knife back in it and realized the Velcro is terrible and barley holds itself, the sheaf itself is good quality, but it does not whatsoever hold the knife in place and it looks like it could click in but just won’t. Very disappointed in the sheath, especially knowing I paid 85 dollars for it. I’ve gotten way nicer for 30 dollar knives…but the knife itself is great. Has very little use, very little. The novelty of having one is awesome tho. Also extremely impractical to carry way too big. Worth it? Only if you have extra money laying around. Sheath is what is made me the most unhappy, like come on guys really that’s the easiest part of it….

Brutal Blade of Pure Piercing Power
Eight-inch blade(s) of piercing power! This is the form intimidation would take if it was a blade. It was created for one purpose: to STAB what needs to be stabbed. An excellent choice of EDC for anyone wanting an option of pure protection for an emergency situation, as it has no real purpose as a tool, unless one needed an emergency glass-breaker for a vehicle, I suppose. An equally-dangerous "skull crusher" crowns the pommel, but a couple days of wearing it and I decided to grind that feature down so I can handle the blade in a defensive grip without doing damage to my thumb. The sheath is a well-built plastic tube that safeguards the blade in a secure manner. I only wish the strap at the top of the sheath had a snap instead of a Velcro patch, but that is relatively minor in detail that doesn't detract from the blade itself. If you want a wicked piercing piece for an emergency situation, this is the blade to buy!
