Project Mc2 Secret Message Decoder Ring (Size 10)

Just received the ring and wanted to give my few cents on what I have observed thus far:1) Solid metal build construction2) The top portion of the ring with the hidden window (numbers) spins smoothly. Not the type where it clicks one by one when you spin. However, it is fairly loose therefore does make a clinging sound if you are quickly moving your finger (i.e. typing) while wearing it3) The numbers and letters are fairly small in font. I would imagine that's to keep the ring size to a minimum4) Packaging is well made. Compact, yet eye catching5) Fits my finger perfectly. If you are planning on wearing the ring, you may want to measure the finger you are planning to put it on6) I purchased it for the price of $18.99, which in my opinion is fairly high for one ring. $15 would of been fair.Highly recommend this ring for anyone interested!

Got a pair for twin relatives as a gift. Very well made. The stainless steel was too hard for several local engravers though.The cipher is scrambled, not A=1, B=2, etc..., but each ring apparently has the same scramble which makes a pair of rings as a gift possible.The size 6 ring means the numbers are a little hard to read in the viewing window. The craftsmanship is such that the different numbers are still distinguishable by a person with good vision or a magnifying glass (adding to the spy/fun factor for a kid).Very happy with this purchase!

Does your kid watch science shows on Netflix? She'll want one of these. My 11-yr old loves it and wants more for her friends so they can write more notes to each other without having to share the ring back and forth.

My eight year old LOVES this. She wears it on a cord as a necklace. She and her friends send each other coded messages.It is beautifully made.

This decoder ring is of good quality & slides well to reveal the codes. However, we purchased the larger of the 2 size options & it is still too small for my 11-year-old to wear. He still uses it though.

The numbers that appear in the window are just too small for normal viewing. If you have a very well lit room and 20/20 vision, the numbers are just barely readable. Using a magnifying glass certainly helps...if you have one handy.

I bought 2 rings so that the kid could share one with a friend and create coded messages just for themselves. He seemed to like it and tried it right away with the family. Sturdy rings should last a while, too.

I ordered one a few weeks ago for our son. I was so happy with quality (even the packaging was an eye catching design). So, I ordered one for our son's cousin so the two boys can send letters to each other in code. GREAT gift idea. I purchased from Retroworks selling here on Amazon from this link at the time of this review. This seller shipped quickly. I was happy with this purchase, and as long as the price of these rings stays reasonable, as they are now, I would continue to reorder for our son's friends' birthdays in the coming year. Thank you!
