Nature's Trove Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR) 500 mg 200 Vegetarian Capsules

Carnitine is credited with several "powers," one of which is a general increase in energy levels. Have not noticed this at all, really. But it does a marvelous job of increasing mental energy. Not like caffiene, which of course is adrenaline-based, this is just your brain behaving like it's twenty years younger. Pretty sweet, since it's so reasonably priced. I started with one at a time three times a day, hardly noticed any effect. But when I take two at a time three times a day, I feel it. Good stuff.

I bought these pills as a natural way to deter depression and anxiety. It certainly does its job. I notice a huge difference in my anxiety levels and my personality when I am not taking them versus when I am taking them. Some people say this helps you lose weight. I have not noticed any weight loss from this pill. Very happy with my purchase! You have a returning customer in me

I bought this for my cat to help with mobility issues related to old age. I open one capsule per day and mix it into his canned food. The capsule is harder to open than the previous brand I used, but my cat seems to tolerate its taste fine, which is the most important thing. I do think that it has helped with his stiffness issues, but it is hard to qualitatively measure this for sure.

I take this supplement for chronic fatigue associated with fibromyalgia. I can say with certainty that it has made a difference in my quality of life. Chronic fatigue is not helped by my prescriptions but this supplement gives me more energy. I stopped taking it for 2 weeks after the first bottle and noticed a real difference in my energy levels for those weeks. I ordered another bottle and my energy kicked up again after I started taking it again. So I'm convinced! This brand is the cheapest I've found

I take acetyl-l-carnitine for chronic fatigue syndrome and PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I don’t know if it does anything for the CFS, but I find that it does help me lose weight if I’m already exercising and eating well (ie by itself it doesn’t cause weight loss, but it does seem to allow it if I’m doing everything else right). (PCOS can make weight loss difficult.) This is the most affordable version I’ve found and it seems to work just as well as the others!

I alternate this with PQQ and berberine, which I take on Mon, Wed, Fri. I take acetyl l-carnitine on Tue, Thu, and Sat. The goal is to aid mitochondrial function.
