VIOFO T130 - Honest review after a years use!
For over a year of usage with the VIOFO T130 3-Channel Dash Cam, I’ve realized it’s more than just a gadget—it’s my driving buddy. Here’s how its standout features have made my life on the road so much easier:The triple channel recording (1440P front + 1080P interior + 1080P rear) gives me complete coverage, and I’ve already seen it in action. On one drive, it caught a car cutting me off from the front, my kids laughing in the backseat, and a tailgater in full glory. The wide viewing angles (140° front, 165° inside and rear) mean nothing escapes its gaze, which is comforting during rideshare gigs. The Sony IMX335 Starvis sensors and 4 IR LEDs have turned night into day. Driving on dark, rural roads is no longer stressful because the WDR technology ensures everything is crystal clear, inside and out.Setting up the camera was a breeze, thanks to the voice notifications that talk you through every step, from turning audio on to activating parking mode. Speaking of parking mode, the Auto Event Detection saved the day when someone dinged my car in a parking lot. The dash cam captured their license plate, making the insurance process so much easier. The built-in Wi-Fi is a lifesaver. I could quickly transfer a funny clip of my kids goofing off to my phone via the VIOFO app and share it with family. The GPS logger is another great feature, showing me exactly where I was and how fast I was going during certain events. Finally, the loop recording and emergency lock mean I never have to worry about running out of space or losing crucial footage during an incident. I paired it with a 128GB VIOFO high-endurance microSD card for maximum reliability, and it’s worked flawlessly. This dash cam isn’t just a piece of tech—it’s peace of mind. Whether I’m capturing beautiful road trip moments or protecting myself from unexpected incidents, the VIOFO T130 delivers. Highly recommend for any driver!

Never worked right to begin with.
Read quite a few reviews and found this product to have the features and reliability that I needed. Unfortunately from the start the camera was having issues. I hardwired the camera to my vehicle to take full advantage of the camera however I began to notice that the camera would turn on when started, but often times would fail to begin recording. It was hit or miss if the camera would begin recording and if it didn’t start, manually pushing the button to record resulted in nothing.Other times we would start the vehicle and the camera would begin recording immediately, it just seemed so hit or miss when the camera would actually work. So, earlier this week the unthinkable happened and we were involved in an accident which resulted in no injuries thankfully but when I went to pull the camera footage i come to find that the camera has failed to overwrite the the sd card footage when full as the product was advertised. So since nov-2023 the camera has occasionally recorded but nothing was saved because the sd card was full. So to our loss we have no footage of the accident. Pretty disappointing to spend so much for a camera system for it to not work. I wish i had returned it before it was too late.If you drive alot, or are in a city i would recommend considering another product, the last thing you want is to put your trust in a camera that doesn’t work 80% of the time

Upgraded from A119 - Decent upgrade
Overall I would recommend this dashcam. After using a Viofo A119 for the past 5+ years, which was very reliable and good quality video/audio, I had high expectations.First - the tilt of all the cameras is not enough. The angles of my front and rear windshield seem to be extreme enough (2011 RX350) that I'm at the max rotational limits of the cameras to get the best POV. Still more sky in the shot than I would prefer for the front camera, but the FOV is good that I still capture what's directly in front of the car - I just worry about the picture being blown out to Sun / Lights. The interior camera was much higher quality than I expected, so I've lowered that to the lowest setting. With all cameras at max quality, the math of the provided bit-rate spec would suggest there's not an SD card fast enough available that would support all cameras at max quality and bit rate, so some compromise has to be made. I like the less wires to have the front and interior cameras in the same housing, but due to my placement that I prefer for front dash cam, and the design of the inside of my car, I would like the separate cameras after all.The timestamp is about the same as my previous A119 with additional room for extra text, which I don't use, but it is nice. Each video file (1 file for each respective camera, sync'd)The wifi hotspot functionality is a little finicky. Sometimes I turn it on, make my configuration, and turn it off, and I have troubles starting recording again, even sometimes it'll say it's recording, but upon review later, it did not record. A simple fix seems to be to restart the camera afterwards.I'm using their hardwire kit, and have a second battery in my car for other accessories that I use to provide parking power. So far parking mode seems to be ok, but I don't have enough experience with it yet. Settings seem to be a bit vague to configure active record vs parking mode. I'd like a little more control over it.In general, I would recommend this dashcam, I'm happy with the quality, and have been easily able to read plates. It's a good balance between the lower end, and really high end and find this to be the sweet spot, especially when it's on sale. I purchased for just under $200.
