Fairly natural
ZincDuring a bout of a persistent cold, I looked at my nails & found some white spots. Despite popular misconception that it's a calcium deficiency, I found it's a sign of zinc deficiency. A short while after taking it, my cold got better. As you know, zinc is one of the most important minerals for immunity (amongst other things). This seems to be a good quality zinc, made in Germany 🇩🇪. it comes in a nice glass bottle. although the ingredients are fairly pure & natural, I don't know why it contains: fat powder & what is that? (I've deducted a star hence). The other ingredient, microcrystalline cellulose is natural & harmless:Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) is a term for refined wood pulp and is used as a texturizer, an anti-caking agent, a fat substitute, an emulsifier, an extender, and a bulking agent in food production. The most common form is used in vitamin supplements or tablets.I might buy it again but am curious about the "fat powder".Still, it's one of most natural ones I've found at a decent price. The health nutritionist at Planet Organic to get zinc piconilate. She said it's the best absorbed. However, upon research, I found the following:"...Zinc bisglycinate – a well-tolerated and well-absorbed zinc chelate – is comprised of one zinc molecule bound to two (bis = two) molecules of the amino acid glycine. Because this form of zinc is absorbed intact (that is, bound to glycine) it does not compete with other minerals for absorption in the intestinal tract. Although zinc bisglycinate has data showing slightly better absorption compared to zinc picolinate, zinc picolinate has a longer history of use as a supplement and, as such, has been the subject of more clinical studies...."

Economical Zinc supplement, easy to chew or swallow, hardly any taste.
It's only recently that I have started to focus on the addition of Zinc to my daily supplements. I hope I have got Vitamind D & Vitamin C intake about right but the more I read it would appear that Zinc is also a potentially very valuable supplement. I will only take any form of medication when I can be assured it's made in the UK, or at least Europe. These Zinc tablets are Made in Germany so that's fine with me.These are a typical 'one per day' supplement so you are getting approximately 6 months supply here for less than £10 so I consider them good value for money. The tablets are quite small, and although rather firm they can be fairly easily chewed if that's your preference - and they have very little discernable taste at all, or obviously you can swallow the tablet.I was somewhat bemused and puzzled that the content description does not give a "% Daily Value" and states "Daily Value not establised". I am not sure why this is figure is not better explained so I looked on the internet for more information. If you check the web there are differing amounts as suggested "% Daily Value" and I settled for a figure of at least 11mg (per day) for an adult male. Not sure if this is correct though and you do see very varied recommendations on the internet. I would have much preferred the % DV to be at least suggested on the bottle of Zinc supplement. The tablets are suitable for Vegans, as are a lot of supplements these days. I was also pleased to see that on the box I received the Best Before Date was a very acceptable August 2023.Cannot really fault this product for value, content and packaging... all are very good. Although I would have appreciated a little more guidance of the "% Daily Value" I still think the product warrants a 5 Star rating.

Increases energy, but don't overdo it
I'm pleased with these tablets. They seem to improve my energy and are small which makes them very easy to swallow with water. I never take zinc on an empty stomach, but zinc doesn't interfere with sleep so they're convenient to take any time of day with a meal (or even just a snack).Zinc bisglycinate is one of the best absorbed forms of zinc, so it's my preferred choice. I used to use Source Naturals brand, and I find this comparable. I didn't know Clav brand until last year but have tried several products and am definitely impressed. I trust the brand now and would happily buy any of their products relevant to me.Zinc RDA for women is 8mg, making 25mg a high dose, so I don't take them daily. I prefer every other day for now and may reduce gradually as I get on top of my levels, will see how it goes. Definitely don't want to overdo it as too much zinc creates imbalances in other metals (especially iron because, like 15% of females, I'm prone to iron deficiency).

Great zinc tablets
The media could not be loaded. Great packaging, I love the glass vase. They’re easy to swallow and taste nice not like other vitamins i tried before.Only one downside it’s the white powder that can get on your fingers but it’s easily removed. Reason why I still give 5 stars

Caused severe stomach cramps
I bought this version of zinc as it was described as being gentle on the stomach but it caused me severe stomach cramps. Tried taking it with and without food but got the same ill effect both times. Certainly would not recommend this product to anyone with a sensitive stomach.
