Worth the cash, but with caveats...
I bought a couple of blocks of V10 for my regular snooker partner and I. We were both really curious whether it was worth the price/hype, especially as most of the tour had moved to using it. I know there are more expensive chalks on the market, but V10 seems to be grabbing most of the headlines. We booked a table at our club and made sure they cleaned it and washed the balls beforehand. To summarise our findings compared with Triangle...- You get much more grip on the cue ball - giving you much more confidence with extreme screw or top spin shots.- Virtually no kicks or bad contacts- An impeccably clean cloth after a long 3-hour practice session- No visible marks on cue ball or object ballsAnd with the last two points, here come the caveats. As an average-at-best club player visiting a club where most of the players still use Triangle chalk, the benefits of using Taom V10 are limited, unless you ask for the table and balls to be cleaned beforehand, AND crucially, both players use V10.I think this is why you don't see many club players use it, opting to save their money and stick with Triangle, further compounding the problem! If you've got £15'ish burning a hole in your pocket and you're curious, go for it. Also, if you're on the tour, or playing pro-am matches on beautifully maintained tables, go for it. Otherwise, save yourself the cash!

Definitely not hype
The price was a bit off putting initially but I said I’d try it and see how I get on with it, 2 months in and I’m totally converted. This chalk is more compacted, I can see how one block could last a very long time. So in that sense worth the money and cleaner, no sticky hands or cue. Try it for yourself and let your family gift it for you for Xmas and birthday, that should cover your needs even if you lose one, no more socks for Christmas, happy days!
