Disposable Dust/Surgical Mask - Box of 50 (12 PK)

Here in Oklahoma we have really dusty conditions during the spring and summer months. It got so bad that I received some inhaler prescriptions from my doctor. I could barely breathe outside, especially when it was muggy.I do a lot of gardening every day, churning up the dirt, and mowing sends up clouds of dust that cover you from head to foot. We've had some days lately that the air quality was really iffy for folks with respiratory issues, with warnings to stay indoors, sometimes due to high mold, pollen, or ozone issues. I have been able to go outside and work without getting respiratory distress symptoms.I used to wear those cup-like masks, but they really didn't fit the face well, and I didn't like the fact that the elastics had to go over and behind my head. They sort of worked, but they were exceptionally uncomfortable and they steamed up my glasses. One day at the doctor's office, I noticed she had procedure masks on the counter to prevent the spread of illnesses. So, I took one to try out to see if it worked better than the cup masks. I loved it! It fully protected my nose and mouth and hooked on the ears instead of over the head. After researching a bit, reading the reviews, I decided to give these surgical masks a try, so I took a chance and ordered a lot of 600 of them for the best price per unit.I found these particular masks to be very suitable. I am able to work outside in the dust and mold and pollen clouds, and my breathing has improved tremendously. Before, I could maybe make it an hour or so out in the grimy conditions. However, with these masks, I can make it 8-10+ hours outside in the same conditions. Also, I have been able to re-use a mask, making it even more economical. I used to have to netty pot my sinuses several times a day to get rid of the particulates in the air that ended up in my sinuses. So far, (knock wood), I haven't had to rinse my sinuses out, and my sinus problems have just about disappeared. I have a very keen sense of smell, and I've noticed absolutely no peculiar or off odor with these masks.My only problem with these masks is that I sincerely regret that I waited so long to purchase them. They have improved the quality of my life outdoors. I recommend them highly.

Much easier to wear than the cheap ended white cupped models. I can't compare these with the more expensive white cup type as I won't pay the high price for them. These stay in place and cover a lot of the face. Elastic ear loops seem to be more durable than other types of around the head elastic bands. I have worn the surgical masks with ties around the back of the head which I prefer over the elastic. Breathing is easy with these. I use these for seasonal allergy problem and have lots of airborne stuff as I manage on a large acreage, as well as pushing roofing gutter debris into my face.. No odor that I can tell. I ordered another large bunch of these today. Will be more inclined to actually put these on as opposed to the more uncomfortable white cups that have a lot of leakage around the sides.Anyway, it appears that there are some significant negative reviews but as for me I am very happy with them.

These masks are perfect to use as disposable diapers (yes, you read that right) for large indoor birds (pigeon-sized) & bantam poultry. The mask part goes under their birdie-bum (wire side toward the front) & makes a nice pouch that does a great job at collecting & holding the poo. The elastic ear straps fit comfortable around/under their wings. Clipping the two elastic loops together over the back is helpful for smaller birds/pigeons. The birds barely acknowledged their diapers the first day (fiddled with them a bit while grooming) & completely ignored them by the second day. The birds ignore them & seem comfortable. Very good buy!

I have an immune deficiency and I wear them when changing the litter boxes. The masks are perfect. They are effective and comfortable. I was paying $10.00 for 10 masks at a local store. The value here cannot be matched. Highly recommend!

Really nice price so I bought the case we keep them in storage units in for various hobby projects and when the flu or something is around our house I think everybody should have some on hand

They're ok, but I wish I hadn't ordered so many.....
