So nice I bought it twice
I've never had the patience to learn the arm of the wet stone but slot sharpeners don't produce satisfying results in my opinion. The Work Sharp Precision Adjust Elite solves both issues with an easy to use, high quality sharpening system. I appreciate the process of sharpening, flipping the blade, and changing grits. I keep my kitchen and shop knives sharp at ask times, not hesitating to sharpen a blade at the first sign of dulling. I like the Precision Adjust Elite so much that I bought one for my father. I'd recommend the Precision Adjust Elite at a minimum for the additional grits you get with the system. There are higher tier systems in the Work Sharp line so check those out as well, but I found the Precision Adjust Elite to be the budget friendly sharpener that fits my demands perfectly.

Winner winner, get your knives as sharp as possible...
I wish I had found this years ago so I wouldn't have had to spend a lot of time with sharpening stones (oil or water). Like most skills that other make look easy, you have to get your blade angle correct. Once you determine the proper angle, it is just a turn of the adjustment knob to set it. Then, you clamp your knife into the holder that is then inserted into the base stand and held by strong magnets. Choose your preferred grit from those in the kit and get to it! Remember, go lightly since you are using diamond and/or ceramics here.I suggest practicing on some older, less valuable knives until you get the feel of the equipment. Then, take you time and follow the instructions. Also, check out the online videos where others demonstrate using it on different kinds of knives. Another hint, make sure to keep track of the number of passes you make on your first side so you can do the same on the other side. You must perform the same number of passes to keep the blade in true form. You may have to move the clamp down the blade when you are sharpening longer knives like those from the kitchen. Take your time and be consistent. Always finish off the knife by stropping it on a good leather strop to get the burrs off the edge. Go easy and be patient as you do NOT want to muscle it.

Great Wonderful Sharpener.
Pros: Great Customer Support. Easy to use. It really will give you a razor sharp edge. Easy to clean. With some zip tie modifications the design is solid and strong and won't let you down while sharpening. I love this sharpener and wish I had the money to buy the $250 Pro Sharpener or the $400 Pro with Carry Case. You can buy this elite for $60 and if you decide you want the carry-case for $80 later on, you can upgrade like I did, plus you get more stones for a mirror polish when you upgrade. The clamp holds on to a 3mm blade thickness or smaller with almost perfection. You tighten it down and I get almost no wiggle, no movement, no sliding, nothing. So I'm happy about that. Perfection!!!Cons: It's modular which is amazing but they don't sell optional attachments so what's the point of being modular?!? I guess I can make my own upgrades??? The KNIFE CLAMP on the ELITE model (the smaller model) is great at tightening and holding on to a 3.5mm or smaller thickness blade at the spine. They claim it can hold up to 4.7mm but it will wobble like crazy. So basically this is great for neck-knives and most folding knives. It is NOT GREAT at holding my Fixed Blade Hunting or Camping knives at all. Even if I manage to get them in the clamp and tighten it, the knife has way too much wiggle. I guess they want us to buy the $250 Pro model or $400 with all the bells and whistles to be able to clamp on and HOLD a thicker blade?Since it's modular, why not sell us a Clamp Piece separately, that is specifically made to hold thicker knives. I'd buy it.

Works Amazingly Well and has an Impressive Warrantee
I have had my Work Sharp System for over a year. The System is a breeze to setup, use and store. It is just what I needed to finally keep my knives sharp. I could never get them sharp by hand but now, everything from pocketknives to kitchen knives are safely kept keenly sharpened using the System. But what impresses me even more is the WARRANTEE. Recently a tip on one of the rods broke. I simply emailed Work Sharp with a picture of the broken item, and the same day they shipped out a replacement. No muss, no fuss. Wow.
