Deda Logo Tape Gun Metal Gray

Usually I'm not super picky with bar tape. I had bought this previously because it was cheap, but it is actually pretty nice - no need to spend more. I built my wife a new bike and got this tape again in gun barrel grey specifically because it matched the paint job. Looks and feels good. Not crazy about the embossed Deda logo, but you can cover it up as you wrap. Only gripe are the bar end plugs, which look pretty good but a little loose and cheap-feeling.

Makes a great grip, the provided termination strips don't work but are not necessary. Just start at the center and double back over the loose end before working out to the ends of the handlebar, stuff the remaining grip into the hollow handlebar and secure with the provided end caps.

Not as cushy as most tapes, but then again, you're probably wearing gloves when you use it. I only use Deda tape on all my bikes because its durable and easy to install. It helps that it comes in a ton of colors too (black and white are just too boring). The adhesive backing makes installation easy.

The rolls are a little short and the material is not super grippy. So that's one star off. As for the other 4, they stay as the tape goes on easy, is robust enough to wrap quite tightly and looks well on the bike. The little logos look good (as long as you get the tape wrapped the right way round) and the bar ends go in and stay in. The finishing tape is rubbish but they always are, just use cheap electric insulation tape, works much better.

I have actually used this one single tape on 2 different bikes. (it was reusable when i had to change out shifters, and moved this tape to one of my other bikes) --its really a fantastic wrap.2 thumbs up

Don’t buy! This stuff is ridiculous. It has the thinnest line of adhesive on the back of the foam tape it’s got no chance of sticking even on first application never mind it lasting in inclement weather. Terrible product and a waste of money :(

Very good product & what my local bike workshop also uses. Straightforward to wrap on. Plenty of length, good adhesion. Does need additional purchase of black insulating tape to secure at end of job. Comfortable grip. Remember to wrap the plastic bar ends with a bit of tape too so they really stay in place
