Direct video without router
The key is getting an adapter that is female to female so that you can plug it into an HDMI cable away from the TV. Or a male to female HDMI cable that plugs into the device you want to use it on. If it is behind the TV it doesn't work great, but line of sight and it is amazing. Sound might require turning your device up to a louder volume setting, but it can transmit in HD with good sound quality. There was a slight lag, so using it for games or with a wireless mouse has reduced functionality. It mainly allows for a very compact, portable,entertainment or presentation option. This device does not require a router or internet connection to work. Works with Android, an IOS through apps and Windows 10.

The connection response is very slow often leaving blocks on the screen rather than a clear video or picture.

Pretty weak
Not for rich signals. Cannot watch live sports only webpage and sometimes YouTube. Suggestion above to clear line of site did help. Disappointed.

Not good as aspected. Playing games over its sucks. Never worked with YouTube videos.

Superb product works well with my z1 compact miracast
Hi, I was sceptical about this product but man it works great. Follow the instructions in the manual. Best part does not need separate wifi connection.. I have played front line 2 n wat graphics.Issues: heats up, once disconnected u have to switch off n on. Before you buy plz do check if ur phone supports miracast.Please keep the distance between you phone n device below 3 meters.Posting final update after 5 and half year of usage .. Great product by lenovo .. Still works like a gem .. I moved to fire stick 4k now which also suppport screen mirroring hence final update ..

Very buggy and unstable
The sudden price drop is totally justified, Very buggy and unstable device, Keeps restarting, Poor audio quality and video keeps breaking up.Tested with a Lenovo Q180 PC and an HP Slate 6 Android phone.

Incomplete or wrongly marketed product by Lenovo !
Only works with android devices not working with laptop supporting Intel WiDi. It is always asking the PIN which lenovo has not supplied at all.
