The Perfect Cookbook for the Kitchen Witch!
At first glance, I wondered if I had bought yet another beginner kitchen witch cookbook. However, I find myself pleasantly surprised. Cerridwen Greenleaf has put forth a beautifully illustrated book that is utterly packed with knowledge. The size of this book, less than an inch thick, is deceptive.I would not just call this a cookbook but a How To on becoming a Kitchen Witch. The first few chapters are dedicated to the tools of the trade with instructions on how to set up and develop a kitchen altar. This is so refreshing as the author takes the time to establish the idea of the sanctity of the kitchen itself and the idea of establishing your own sacred space. The kitchen is a messy place at times, yes, but still it is deserving of our respect!Jump right in the learn how to brew up magick with tea, bring in abundance with basil, or develop at home cures for many common ailments. This is a book that you will read many times and reach for whenever you are feeling inspired in the kitchen.

Beautiful and magical!
I am so pleased with this book. It’s so magical and warm. Sometimes the new age genre can be a little too technical or focus too much on religion or putting down particular religions... this was not like that. There are so many lovely tips and easy spells and recipes that are kept fairly light so you can make them your own. The book just makes me happy, it has an energy to it that goes right along with it’s artsy illustrations and at-a-glance format. This will be a great reference. Very grateful to everyone who made this book possible.

A stunningly beautiful and beautifully written book of charms, spells, rituals and recipes.
A stunningly beautiful and beautifully written book of charms, spells, rituals and recipes.I got this book as I found the idea of kitchen witchery very appealing and I am SO GLAD I DID. There are tons of truly inspired ideas in here and I love the herbal healing and "kitchen cabinet cures" devised by Cerridwen Greenleaf. She learned much from an aunt who was clearly a wise hearth witch and passed down the secrets which we can now all enjoy. The Witch's Cottage Pie is a treat to share on high holidays and I love that Greenleaf offers rituals for every season and reason along with a suggested feast. This makes a wonderful gift for yourself or anyone you love!

I am happy to have this book in my library. It is an easy read, cover to cover in one night but one I will keep coming back to. Beautifully illustrated, too.

Poor editing, beautiful book!
As a former editor, I have a huge issue with books that are poorly edited. This book has a few mistakes in it and they drive me crazy. BUT.... it's a beautiful book with pretty good information, so I'm giving it 4 stars.Another minor gripe is that there sometimes isn't a good explanation for including certain ingredients, etc. As a seasoned practitioner, it's not a huge issue - I know how to do my own research and substitute if I need to. I just think of the newbies who don't really know what they're doing and all they want is a spell for this, an elixir for that... and don't really know what these ingredients mean. But you know, we were all there once and figured it out.Cerridwen Greenleaf is one of my favorite authors - her books are so beautiful and draw the reader right in. Her books contain a lot of great information and a lot of beautiful magical recipes. You can't lose by adding this to your personal library!
