Value for money
recently purchased the TP-Link RE330 AC1200 WiFi Extender, and it has significantly improved my home WiFi coverage. My main router struggled to provide a strong signal to some areas of my house, but the RE330 bridged that gap perfectly.Pros:1. Easy Setup: The installation process was straightforward, thanks to the TP-Link Tether app. It guided me step by step, and I had it running in less than 10 minutes.2. Reliable Performance: With dual-band support (2.4GHz and 5GHz), my devices connect seamlessly, and I’ve noticed fewer dropouts in areas where I used to struggle with signal strength.3. Speed: The extender handles streaming and general browsing well. I tested it with a 4K video stream, and the playback was smooth without buffering.4. Compact Design: It plugs directly into a wall socket, and its compact size means it doesn’t take up much space.5. Value for Money: Considering its features, it’s very reasonably priced compared to other extenders with similar specs.Cons:1. Limited Range Extension: While it works well for medium-sized homes, it might not be the best option if you’re trying to extend WiFi to a very distant or outdoor location.2. Ethernet Port Placement: The Ethernet port at the bottom could make it tricky to use depending on the wall socket placement.Overall, the TP-Link RE330 is an excellent budget-friendly solution for improving WiFi in dead zones. While it may not offer the most advanced features for tech enthusiasts, it’s perfect for everyday users looking for a simple and reliable way to enhance connectivity. Highly recommended for small to medium-sized home.

Fast, consistent and easy to install. Not quite 5 stars tho.....
Over the years I have always enjoyed using TP-Link products. They have seemed to offer great value for money without compromising functionality. They also tend to last as well..!These five port metal housed switches are so well made I can only imagine that they would survive the toughest of environments. For me it was worth paying the small difference in price to have the metal cased version over that of the plastic.I have included three photos of these V5 five port metal switches. The first photo shows four of the five ports used to connect to devices and then the fifth port to connect to the LAN.The second photo shows the five ports connected and then the rear of the switch where the power supply connects. The third photo shows the throughput over the LAN with three of these switches connected.Of course the actual throughput will vary with factors other than just the switches deciding the overall sustained transfer speeds. For me I get sustained 113MB/sec transfer speeds on single large files and then a reduced speed if there are many small files being sent across the LAN.The theoretical maximum speed is 125MB/sec.The forth photo shows the box they are packaged in, well made and sturdy packaging with a UK based support address. In total I have four of these switches, a fifth on my LAN is an eighth port version. The other type of switch in use is a POE six port Netgear for my CCTV cameras. These five port V5 metal cased switches are a delight to use, robust and solid and they simply work. So why drop a star in the ratings.....The first reason to drop a star is that they don't offer a Yellow light for a 100Mb connection. They do offer the green light for the 1000Mb one, often the green and yellow are on each side of the connected port. This might bother you or not.The other point is the positioning of the power connector. It is on the opposite side to that of the plugged port connections, that means it can never fit up flush to a wall in certain situations as either the front or the back protrude. Aesthetically, for some, it looks "cleaner" if the connections are all facing on the same side. That being said I do have a couple of Netgear 8 port metal switches and they too have the power port on the opposite side to the LAN ports, altho other models that I have do not have that arrangement. If the above bothers you then look elsewhere. So to summarise, these small metal 5 port switches are unmanaged, simply plug and use but no port or speed etc management via a UI, very well made and simply work with a life time warranty.I do recommend these switches and I do hope that you have found this review useful to help with your buying choices.Best wishes

Absolutely love this!!!
Such a small but powerful gadget. It’s steady, reliable, and does exactly what it promises. Installation was super easy completely DIY-friendly, no tech skills needed! 😄Connectivity has been seamless, and it’s made a noticeable difference in areas where the internet speed used to be poor now everything runs smoothly with no dropouts or buffering.Another bonus is the reset feature, which comes in handy if you ever need to start fresh or make changes, hassle-free.

Is not a true BT extender, especially for dead zones.
This is to extend BT internet provider. It is ok, not brilliant than my BT610 extender which broke after 9 yrs. Instructions is a bit confusing as you can only conect to 5G which cover 2.6g and 5g (shown in their app, which you need to download. You can use browser, but it is slower. My old extender just did all without installing any unncessary app on my private mobile. As it is not BT, the connection is not stable, there will be times, it just die off, when I am playing games in so called dead zone. same floor, but divided by a shower room ie plasterboard walls. For this price, it is expensive and not value for money as I only use it for the dead zone for a hour or so. The question, I might as well, move to better zone to get normal zone, but out of my bed. I like to wake up and check my phone, but cannot, hence I bought this, but it is not stable. This was for my old tablet, ie samsung A6 tab.Modern phones ie samsung s25 ultra, do not need this extender and can pick up the BT signal with no issue and stable, so this extender is not brilliant.I would not recommend this for BT internet provider users, instead get a proper BT extender for better communication, stable and connection and is cheaper.
