exactly what I needed.
this worked perfectly. I needed something to seal up a water dish for my dog. I got one of those powered "fountain" style watering dishes it had a window on it but the window leaked. I figure if you can seal up a fish tank with this stuff and it won't kill the fish, it's not going to harm my dog or cat. I cleaned everything, waited a day for drying and then slapped this one there, left it overnight and viola! We have a leak-less water dish. Plus I have extra for the next time I need something like this. It was easy to use, I highly recommend using nytril gloves or something, I put a bead of sealant on the window and used my fingers to spread it nice and evenly, then when I was done, pulled the gloves off and tossed in the trash for a no muss no fuss clean up. Awesome.

Works great for many projects
Used it on a 20 gallon long tank that had been used for reptiles. The silicone was scratched up, shredded & missing on every side seam. I cleaned & scraped old silicone off it with a razor blade, wiped the application sites with alcohol prep pads & applied the new bead. It stuck perfectly where it needed to & bonded to the existing silicone on the bottom. It shrank down from a convex bead to a concave bead in 24 hours. I washed it out, filled it with already cycled water & had fish inside the tank within 48 hours. It didn't use much of the tube, so I also used it in an emergency to repair a drain hose to a washing machine that had holes in it. I covered the holes with the silicone & wrapped it with electrical tape. No more leaks & it dried even with an initial wet application.

Good but tube is terrible
Works as expected..the tube is kind of terrible though and doesnt seem to be actually sealed on the end, because both tubes I have used end up squirting out the back if you dont make sure to squeeze the silicone from the back of the tube.

Works great to seal leaking tank.
Quality tank silicone to seal a small leak. Don't know where leak is from so reseal a whole small tank from the inside. Its been a couple months and it still works great. Seals were on really smooth and clear. It works great. Cheap quality fix I know would lasts for a long time.

Not just for aquariums!
I use this sealant for all kinds of things that I need to be water tight and non toxic. I use it on the bottom of dog bowls to make them nonskid. I use it as ceramic glue on cracks. I used all over the inside of a metal bird bath that had rust spots. I used it to plug a small hole in a stainless steel dog water bowl. It lasts for years and is dishwasher safe. It is clear but difficult to smooth out so not invisible. I don’t use it on things that are decorative.

Gets the Job Done, But Be Ready to Wait
I used the Aqueon Silicone Sealant to patch a small leak in a 20-gallon tank. It was easy to apply and didn’t have an overpowering smell like some other sealants I’ve tried. The nozzle gave me decent control for a clean bead. It dried clear, just like promised. That said, the cure time felt longer than expected. Even after waiting the recommended 48 hours, I still wasn’t totally confident it was fully cured. I ended up waiting a full 72 hours just to be safe before refilling the tank. Also, the tube isn’t resealable once opened, so if you don’t use it all at once, it can dry out.It works—but you’ve got to be patient and ready to use the whole tube in one go. Not bad, but not amazing either.
