*******READ MY REVIEW*******Okay so here is the thing. I bought this prior to a pre-employment drug screen thinking legally smoking marijuana in Colorado 2 months prior would show up in my hair. I ordered this test, mailed it Friday and got my results by Tuesday. Everything came back negative. So I was happy!! So happy. And then I started reading other people’s reviews who were doing pre-employment drug tests and got scared. So I decided to go test it again but this time at a facility that send it to LabCorp or Quest because I know that’s where my pre-employment one will be tested. I was frantic. I thought for sure it was going to be positive. Came back NEGATIVE!!So I learned a couple things.. 1. Marijuana really doesn’t show up in your hair unless you are a super chronic smoker. 2. I guess this test worked but I have no idea what lab it went to so I’m sleptical on their processes. 3. You will have a much safer piece of mind going to a facility and making sure your hair goes to a major lab (costs $95 and I would not pay more than that if I were you) and boom! You’re good to go. It’s confidential and much safer to go get results yourself before showing up to an employer one and failing.Hope this helps!

The subject of this test had come home reeking of pot on the night we found a bag of something much worse in his laundry. He admitted the pot use, but insisted that the other drug was not his (as if that excuse had not been used before). We did a pee test that night which detected the pot, but not the other drug.So two days later we submitted his hair sample using the Hair Confirm product with the intention of getting a better picture of his drug use over the last several weeks.The results came back NEGATIVE on all tests. It didn't even pick up the pot which we already knew about.My wife and I feel that we threw away $50 on a product that promises help for desperate parents, but instead just adds insult to injury during a very stressful, horrible time for parents.

I took this test myself to see if I would be likely to pass or fail a test required at my new job. I passed this test then I passed the Psychemedics one at work. What I was checking for was about 3 days worth of normal adult dosage of Ultram that wasn't prescribed. Ultram should come up as an opiate, but I was "below threshold levels."These were the first times I took any hair tests. You have to gather hair at the scalp and you have to get as much as "the diameter of a pencil." That's a lot of hair and when it's buzzed to begin with, you look like you just got back from sunny Dachau. Don't remember exactly how long results took, but it was enough to feel artifically extended to encourage you to buy the express kit, but it wasn't ridiculous either.

I was unsure how this would work, because of the different reviews I read, but I received GREAT service!Hair Confirm was very fast at getting me the results I needed. Now I know what I have to do.If you are looking into buying this test it works! But also remember when it comes to testing hair do research, because it's not at all like a urine test. If the person you are testing has done drugs recently it prob won't show up. You have to wait for the hair to grow out. Also give it time, due to the fact you are dealing with USPS. Its hard to properly rate this product but I find it useful for my situaiton. I can only partially speak to accuracy in that some tests conducted at a hospital were essentially the same as I got from Hairconfirm. It IS easy to use but there are quite a few steps and it seems I'm always in a rush - dont rush. The newest format comes with an excellent folding card with clear instructions. I like this very much and haven't made mistakes. Its not cheap but these days, I don't see any competing product. I don't live where I can take a sample to a private lab. Using hair works - it would be impossible to collect a urine sample. At first I found the new system of buying the package cheap and then paying the lab fee at registration a pain but now I'm used to it and it works - and makes me follow all the needed steps. My one complaint right now is it takes forever to buy a new package. I can only order through Amazon and it has taken a month or more from order to recieving it - I don't understand the huge wait. I guess I need to order several at a time. I'm never sure when I'll need to take a sample.

The test could not be accurate. I know the person was on certain prescribed meds they take everyday. The test said there where none found. So not sure how they test but in my opinion it is not accurate

This product was so helpful. My child's father was showing signs of drug abuse but kept denying it. I had so much evidence to the contrary but no actual proof. It was not until we got the results back and it came back positive for cocaine (as I suspected). But not only does it provide positive or negative it also gives levels so the person can't claim they only did it once. Now I have what I need to demand he do something about his addiction or me and my child will be leaving him. Additionally he agreed to do this drug test once a month so I can be assured there are no drugs in his system. Thank you hair confirm!

My son (17)has been smoking pot thia Summer. He says that is all he does so I wanted to confirm. Schools test and it came out when he wanted to avoid getting a parking pass. Realistically I smoked in HS and I get it. I just want him staying away from hard stuff. This test came back negative, even for pot...I sent an email and response was“We do state on our website that hair follicle testing can sometimes produce false negative results for marijuana, due to the nature of the THC molecule not always binding to the hair shaft. This is due to THC's chemical structure. “Great for my kid ,apparently his hair is thc resistant but really how good is the test? I guess having an open dialog witht your kid is the best option.
