The Amazon delivery person hates me I sure, I get multiple packages daily most days! But I never write reviews.This one I just HAD too! I have spent sooooo much money trying to rid my 60 & 30 gallon tanks of mucky, cloudy water. Water clarification treatments, beneficial bacteria, sludge eating bacteria, water changes, UGH 😩 nothing worked!Then in comes the UV lights. I have a small one inside the filter of my 60 gallon, and a 7-8” one pictured in my 30 gallon (as you can see the smaller tank was much worse). The small bulb is only 1-2” overall, so it wouldn’t fit inside my smaller filter system on my smaller tank. That’s why you see the weird black activated charcoal filter media wrap job I did on it (instructions say to not let the light touch the fish it can cause irritation and damage to their skin) so that is an option if you have a smaller filter.Anyway!!!! These pictures are from only ONE DAY. I didn’t have a chance to snap a pic of the larger tank but I did take the photo seen in my review after a couple hours with the light in it. It was almost the same color water as the smaller tank before!!!The clear water photos are of only 10 or so hours of use of the UV lights. I put them in the night prior when the package arrived, and the After photos are from when I woke up the next morning (today.) I am just absolutely BLOWN AWAY by how well and EXTREMELY FAST these lights worked!!!! If you have an over abundance of bacteria grown, Algae, or just plain cloudy water…. This will hands down be the best purchase you ever made for your Aquariums and fish! I’m not joking. The photos speak for themselves!! Buy it, YESTERDAY!If I had went this route sooner I would’ve saved over $200 in products that just couldn’t get the job done. These UV lights definitely do!!! -Bree Zamora

The media could not be loaded.  This is for the 7W 8 in bulb. First let me start off by saying be patient! I don’t normally leave reviews but oh boy did this thing work! At first I was thinking this thing isn’t doing anything. Put it in my filter on low flow and didn’t really notice a difference in the first day. I went away for a weekend and when I came back I noticed it was a bit lighter. Here we are a week later and I have super clear water!! Here’s a pic on how it looked when I started, how I placed it in my filter, and a video of it a week later!! In my experience it’s a must buy to clear you water. I hope it works for others as it worked for me.

I bought this light for my cold plunge and after one week of use the light broke. I tried to return it and of course it was outside of the return window. So overall this product was a waste of money and time. If you are thinking about buying a uv light look elsewhere

Awesome bulb! Fits in my 10 gallon filter, well insulated and you can't even tell there's a UV light in the filter. Recieved on Nov. 5th, installed it while having very cloudy water and heavy algae, on Nov. 8th water still very cloudy, decided to do an 80% water change + new filter media, it is now Nov 11th and the water is crystal clear!!! (Usually after a water change by the 3rd day it would turn heavily cloudy, even after a large water change + new filter media as my tank houses 8 freshwater fish, 3 cherry shrimp and 2 mystery snails).All in all, I recommend installing it with at least a 50% water change and you will notice your water staying clear for much longer or not turning cloudy at all.You might think: "Yea but this guy changed all water + filter of course its clear", but in all honesty for some reason my tank even while having shrimp + snails by the 2nd or 3rd day of new water was ALWAYS cloudy.As well please keep in mind, in my 10 gallon filter it fitted pretty snug, I had to push/force it a bit to get it deep in the water stream, so I believe that in a filter of less capacity it will not fit and the suction cup did not fit but it wasn't needed in my case.For reference I use a Top Fin Silentstream 10 filter.

Placed it in my waterfall box and have kept it on continuously for a couple weeks and it cleared up green pond water

Easy to use and really effective. Cleared tank in a matter of days we noticed a difference on the second day. Turned it off on the 7th day and have used it periodically for almost 4 years and still working great. Happy with the purchase and seller.

This sure made a difference in water clarity in my 5 gallon tank. Within 3 days the water went from cloudy to perfectly clear. Does give off a slight amount of heat but not enough to raise temp more than a degree or two. Only issue I had was the outer glass cover cracked for some reason. The inner UV lamp is fine still but outer glass jacket cracked making it no longer useful. Would be nice if they could increase the strength of the outer glass jacket. Once it cracks you can only silicone it or throw it away.

I am ranging from having green water, cloudy water, not too clear water problem all the time (since there is live plant). I try chemical, light schedule, fertile schedule, more water change etc and nothing solve it. This is the last resort and it end up being the salvation I am looking for. Now 100% clear water and no turning back.
