JFSM INC. Rare Ganesh (Ganesha) Hindu Elephant God of Success Statue, 7 1/4-inch

I looked at a lot of Ganesha sculptures and this was easily the nicest for the money. I looked online and at some in person at a couple of local stores and it is nicer than sculptures twice the price. I wanted something that was well-crafted, aesthetically attractive, and historically/culturally accurate (to the best of my knowledge after loads of research). This sculpture checks every box. 100% recommend.- The sculpting is finely detailed and the casting picked up all the details. I am an artist and little things are important to me, eg. hands and feet that are anatomically accurate in proportion and detail (right down to the fingernails); nicely sculpted drapery, crown, and adornments; etc. He also has a pleasant face. So many of the other Ganeshas I looked at were crudely sculpted and this is not.-It is made of resin but looks and feels like some sort of stone, not plastic-y. The material has a somewhat luminescent quality. Decent weight to it, doesn't feel cheap.-He is adorned with the traditional and most common symbols (as I understand them). Upper Right Hand: the axe; Upper Left hand: a stylized noose with lotus leaves(?...this one I'm a little unsure about); Lower RH: blessing; Lower LH: bowl of laddu sweets; trunk: pot of jewels; the mouse; one broken tusk (he's not holding the piece in his blessing hand which I would prefer but everything can't be perfect which ironically is one of the meanings behind the broken tusk); one foot on the lotus blossom and one foot on the ground.-No shipping or breakage issuesOnly two (very minor) cons: 1) Most of the Ganesha blessing hands I have looked at have either the OM, a swastika, or nothing on them...this one has a weird blob with a starburst(?) type of thing. Perhaps someone out there can identify this. I found a painting that is identical to this sculpture in every detail but it had a swastika (it is time to reclaim that symbol for the good guys!) It is the only detail on this sculpture that looks like an afterthought and is not well done. 2) IF YOU CARE about trunk direction this one is hard to determine, but I, personally, am not concerned with that particular symbolism.

Beautiful item. It has the feel and weight of stone, but is synthetic without looking seeming "plasticy", The resin gives it an ethereal appearance, and the detail is the best i have seen, and from all sides. It's a good size as a desk companion, without taking up a lot of space, while being large enough to garner a lot of attention. He holds all of the symbolically attributed "weapons", and was a very good purchase for the price, arriving very quickly, safely and in one piece! I'd buy other items from them, for myself and as gifts.

I had been scouring Amazon to find the best possible Ganesha statue at the most affordable price, and I definitely found it.My standards for quality are very high, and I will search for something worthwhile until I either find it or realize it's unattainable. The first time I saw this statue of Ganesha I was so impressed. It's perfectly proportioned, exquisitely detailed on all sides (doesn't have any words or symbols engraved on it like some other statues), the mouse actually looks like a mouse and not some sort of deformed creature, the lotus flower he sits on is a beautiful touch, and I personally thought that the white version of this statue (as opposed to the bronze/other colors version) was so delicate and simple. Before ordering, I looked up JFSM INC to see what other products they offered, and they have a lot of famous figures in statue form, and all of those seem to be great quality, too.When I ordered I used Prime with free two-day shipping, so that did bring the cost down a bit. It arrived exactly when it was supposed to, and inside my delivery box was the statue's box, thick styrofoam, and the statue was in a clear plastic bag, so it was well-packed and arrive intact.All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase. Anyone who's considering a Ganesha statue would do well to pick this one.

When I finally began to settle into my work-at-home situation, with the knowledge that it would be a while (if ever) before there would be a return to the office, I knew I had to get this. As a KRSNA Devotee I have a lot of murtis of him in his various forms, however for my work space I decided to adopt a theme more geared towards material success (ie paying the bills). I decided right-way that I needed Durga, Saraswati, Laxmi, Kali, and more importantly Ganesha to look over me. The Ganesha-murti is a beautiful piece, and its really a nice size, has volume to it, and has impeccable detail. I couldn't recommend it more to my fellow Hindus. It's a stand-out in my vast collection. This is the Ganesh statue you want, and need!

I purchased this for a gift and was very pleased with the detail. It looks and feels much more expensive than it is. If I could find other gods to match, I would buy them for sure. Only improvement is that I would like to have had a small card in the box that told this particular god's story. I had to look up and print from the internet, but it would have been nicer to have had a nicely printed card.

I love this piece, it's so beautiful, i fell in love when I saw it! i recommend it as a gift or for self, the details are so amazing and its just what I picture Ganesha would look like, loving and kind eyes :) .
