Definitely worth the money, don't pass it up! A huge book that a four-five year old loves viewing and having the rhymes read to. So much so that now she quotes them line for line to me.

I grew up with nursery rhymes and read them to my children as well. I find that many people in their 30s and below don’t know any nursery rhymes other than maybe Humpty Dumpty or Mary Had a Little Lamb. I have to say that this book had a few that were kind of annoying and that I had never heard and didn’t care for, but the majority were ones that I knew and this book has the most beautiful, whimsical illustrations. My 18-month old grandson loved it and within days he was repeating Hickory Dickory Dock.

A great collections of some of the most loved nursery rhymes with amazing illustrations! This is our third book of nursery rhymes and my son's favorite so far!

My 17 month old LOVES this book. We read through the entire book every night while she absolutely squeals with delight on every page. The illustrations are incredibly beautiful and it's the only book I love to read with her over and over and over. The delight that it brings to my child far surpasses my expectations, and I am buying one for every baby shower I go to from now on.

The illustrations in this gorgeous hardcover book are simply stunning. Adults will enjoy the beautiful pictures and children too young to read will easily imagine their own stories while gazing at these stunning images. The book is heavy and sturdy and the pages are thick and glossy, giving the feeling that this book will be enjoyed by the family for many years. It contains many familiar rhymes and some more obscure ones. My only complaint is that it does not contain ALL the original Mother Goose rhymes. This is understandable, however, since there is an individual illustration for each rhyme (taking up 2 pages) there simply would not be room to include them all. What it does contain is certainly worth the money and will be enjoyed for years to come!

This book is beautifully illustrated with classic nursery rhymes from your childhood. It brings back memories for me.Most of the included nursery rhymes are ones you will remember and enjoy sharing with your children. Don't get all hung up on what a violent world we live in and think that these are bad morals to teach your children, as one other reviewer of nursery rhyme books went into a diatribe about. The sooner your children realize that everyone is not equal and everyone is not a winner, the better off they will be in adulthood. The P.C. movement in the USA is out of control -- there really are winners and losers in life -- so, motivate your children to be winners through hard work, skill and talent! Don't teach them to expect a trophy and pat-on-the-back telling them how wonderful they are when the reality is something quite different. It's time to get back to basics in this country because the coddling of our children over the past 20 years certainly hasn't produced good results (look around and stop blaming nursery rhymes and video games for YOUR POOR PARENTING).The morals in this book won't hurt anyone and they certainly didn't turn me into a serial killer. So, enjoy this beautiful book with your children -- I know I am!
