A True Wheelchair!
In the 1990’s my wife needed a wheelchair, there won’t many choices. Heavy hospital equipment the could last for years with daily use and abuse. We spent about $800.00 in 1990’s dollars. It was time for replacement. The market has changed quite a lot. Super cheap to some powered ones that cost almost as much a my first car. Beware, the small wheeled cheapies will be uncomfortable to ride in and difficult to push over uneven surfaces. I believe they are better described as transfer or transport intended for short distances in side of buildings. If you needed to travel on parking lot or sidewalk surfaces avoid the small wheels. The wheelchair is worth every penny. Well designed with easy to use adjustments, lightweight, comfortable riding and a snap to collapse for storage in the trunk.

Wife approved
The wheelchair is for my wife. She had a cheap, uncomfortable 22" seat chair. She doesn't need the extra seat width anymore, and the old chair was showing its age, wear and tear. This chair isn't cheap, but neither does it seem to be made cheaply.

EXTREMELY DANGEROUS - SUB-PAR BUILD - NO SUPPORT
So very dangerous to a patient or loved-one that must use a wheelchair. I am so thankful I fully reviewed and tested this MEDWARM wheelchair before giving it to my mom.The wheelchair is lightweight (as promised) and Made In China. The build quality is immediately evident in being of cheap soft metals, bolts and plastics. Thus, the longevity would appear to be a sort-lived wheelchair. There is a generic basic manual but you will not be able to find a address, email or phone contact. It appears with intention that those were left off. Thus, there is zero customer support if needed. There is no way to contact the seller/manufacturer if you had a need for warranty work. The back consisted of straps only. No solid piece of back support was included. You'll add the included cushion as back support. The bottom cushion is velcro installed.Overall, expect extensive build-quality issues. Parts not fitting. Dangerous risk for personal injury to the chair user as chair arms easily slip out of their locked position. SEE PHOTOS.Inspecting the chair, I quickly found pieces such as the armrest that would not match up to the body to secure the patient (see photos). In fact, the arm simply fell to the floor. The rear connector and the front connector would not stay in place or engage into the slots. In fact, they wouldn't even match up (see photos).Much to my regret, this isn't a chair worth consideration at all. It's grossly overpriced for its severe lack of quality and workmanship. It has no way to address its claimed warranty. The firm (Medwarm) has made it impossible to contact them by omitting any sort of contact information. Most of all, it's a safety risk to a wheelchair user.

Sturdy
I purchased this for my mom and she loves it! It was easy to assemble because it’s pretty much already done. I love the fact that the seat cushion has Velcro to make it safer for one to slide in and out of the chair. The cushion stays in place but it can be a pain because you have to take the cushion off to fold up to put into the car. I am hoping the Velcro doesn’t get worn down from repeatedly having to do that but other than that the chair is lovely. It’s sturdy, stylish, easy to safely tilt to get over curbs or doorways and it arrived fast !

Works well but there are issues.
The chair has a complex number of specialized fasteners that back out easily, like those on the hand grips, and others that back out and fall without being noticed. I can't find the manual, and can't find out who even makes it -- I just get ads for more chairs -- so can't get replacements, or a replacement manual. After a while, the brakes begin to "fade" and it isn't clear how to adjust them -- without the manual, which I can't find and apparently can't replace.

Comfy and adjustable for my mom
My 90-yr-old mother is beginning to have more severe mobility issues and was looking for a wheelchair that would fit her, was easily transportable, and would be comfortable in the future for when she may have to be sitting in it for longer periods of time. She was uncomfortable with her very utilitarian transport chair, which even for short stints didn't work for her. This chair is fairly lightweight, easy to fold for transport, and adjustable in nearly every way you'd need it it to be. Mom is quite petite at barely 4'11'' and also light in the weight department, but she didn't feel overwhelmed by the size of this chair as she did with others she tried. We're very pleased with the cushioning, though mom mentioned that the armrests are hard. She does wish the cushions came in colors other than black. but we figure we can either find or have cushion covers made easily enough.Overall very pleased with this purchase, and looking forward to it serving her for the next decade or so.

Travels well!
My husband has advanced Parkinson's and has, unfortunately, been limited to a wheel chair for the past 6 months. We had a standard transport wheelchair, but have moved up to this Medward aluminum manual wheelchair for outdoor activities and traveling. It is comfortable, is light for placing in our vehicle and has enough bells and whistles to meet our needs. One of our better choices.
