For the money, this is a great tub! Large enough for two moderately-sized people to enjoy it, super-easy to install and operate, and just a great value. While searching for free-standing tub with whirlpool, the prices I saw were, on average, double to the Ariel. Yes, it's an acrylic tub, but is of a suprisingly-high quality for the money. The only real issue I have isn't really an issue: I think the radio is a bit superfluous. If they wanted to keep the speakers in the unit, they could have just as easily add a Bluetooth/WiFi adapter for use with smart phones, iPod/iPad just as easily if not cheaper than a radio.Ariel Customer Support is also pretty great. When I had a missing part issue, Ariel CS answered emails very quickly and got me taken care of promptly.

Best (Only?) option if you want a freestanding jetted tub!
We have had this tub for about 9 months now. If I could I would rate 5 stars for months 2-9 of ownership.Pros: (Month 2-9) -* Big / Deep Tub. I'm 6'1 and this thing will hold 70 gallons of water and me just fine. During our full bathroom remodel (gut job) my wife was done with the big corner "built in" jetted tub and wanted our updated bathroom to reflect an updated, modern, elegant, look. She would have been fine with just a huge tiled shower. I really didn't want to give up the jetted tub and this Ariel Freestanding Jetted Tub was the perfect combination of elegance for the wife and functionality for me. I also installed a low voltage 4K bathroom TV wall flush built in right in front of the thing. A couple of beers and this tub is a great vacation like escape a couple of times a week.Cons:Unfortunately, after the initial setup (full fill and feature testing in the garage before install as specified in the manual) the tub was installed in our brand new bathroom remodel 2 floors up and after about 30 minutes of run time the computer burned out. It took several days to get the new computer shipped from the manufacturer in California. Luckily we had a contractor on retainer (fixed price) for the entire bathroom remodel. Otherwise, the inconvenience of raising the tub back up off the floor and disconnecting / reconnecting 20+ wires would have costed a lot of $$$. This took our contractor about 4 hours to do given the tight space constraints and number of reconnects required and was literally the last thing completed after the rest of our bathroom was already finished.Overall: 9 months in I would highly recommend this tub. The jets, lighting, and bluetooth speaker are great. Keep in mind you will need a big water heater to fill this thing high enough to get above the jets. For obvious reasons, it will NOT turn on if the water is not above the highest jets. We have a 72 gallon water heater and it takes all of it to get this thing filled up. I would recommend buying a bath cushion with suction cups for your back (you can get on Amazon for pretty cheap). It does take about 10-12 mins to fill and the way the water comes in isn't ideal to sit in it while it is filling. Planning 10 mins ahead is NOT a big deal. Also, some of the other reviews of slow draining. This is the design of the flexible drain tube (allowing you to hook up the tube and then lower to the floor after connection). First, it doesn't drain THAT slow. Second, who cares? If you are done with the bath and it takes 5-7 minutes to drain who cares? Overall, great tub if you have the situation I cited. I'm sure you can find a better jetted tub OR a more elegant looking tub. However, this tub does a great job of balancing the two. Overall, I give a high recommendation. However, I fear with the poor customer service that parts availability will be difficult and technical support will be limited if the computer or motor burn out a few years down the line compared to a larger manufacturer like Kohler, Whirlpool, etc. None of these manufactured offered a product that was similar to this one at a similar price.

Lost power, then my tub.
I bought this tub a couple years ago. I sized my bathroom for this specific tub. It was awesome for the dozen or so times we got to use it. We lost power for several hours during a storm last year, and when the breaker was switched back on for this circuit, the tub turned on. It turned on the radio, the lights, and also the pump. It ran for about 90 seconds as i sprinted up the stairs to see what the noise was. My bathroom was smoky and smelled like burnt rubber. The tub has a power button as well as a low water safety so that the pump wont turn on without being sufficiently full. I called Ariel and was told that they had an old pump they could send me. A year later i still haven't seen the pump. I called last week and I was informed they don't have parts and didn't know if they could even get them. After some research I found that the pump used is a very cheap model that is not available for sale individually( $40ea with minimum of 50 on alibaba). So I cant get parts, the manufacturer wont get parts, and my $2000 tub sits there useless. Be warned that this tub is only as good as the reviews when it works.. and once it stops you will not be able to repair.I would have been perfectly happy repairing the tub myself and probably never mentioned this online if the manufacturer had helped me out with parts.

This Ariel whirlpool bath tug is a great product. It is deep and large
This Ariel whirlpool bath tug is a great product. It is deep and large, and has all the bells and whistles anyone could want--great looks, radio, lights, powerful jets, and a self-cleaning system to ensure the tub and pipes stay clean and sanitary! I'd buy it again. Oh, and when comparing features and price this couldn't be beat. Five stars!

Terrible Tub
The product keeps dirty water in the lines, it is unusable as a whirlpool. The lights stopped working first, after using it 5 times, then the stench of the water from the lines became unbearable. Last straw was horrible UTI infection I received after sitting in the water. Now it won't come on at all to test the lines again. Terrible product.

Great tub for the price!
This is a fantastic bathtub for the price! It has a modern look, fills in about 8 minutes. Has bubbles, and the colored lights are a great touch too. We researched and looked at several baths for our custom home, but did not want to spend double to triple the price of this one. We took a chance and purchased it sight unseen, and were not disappointed. One word of caution, apparently the hot and cold hook ups are difficult to distinguish, so initially our plumber hooked it up backwards. If this happens, your hot and cold will not mix, you will only have one or the other, no warm. However we finally got this fixed and thoroughly enjoy the bathtub. My 4 year old bathes in it every night!

Great tub! Beautiful AND functional!
We lived this tub. I can't speak for the ease of installation since our contractor did it but I don't believe there were any difficulties. It's a beautiful yet functional and deep tub. Sadly we only got to enjoy it for a year before selling our home but we are actually going to buy it again to install in our new home!
