This oatmeal flavored bar is hands down one of the better tasting granola bars I've ever had. I find most granola bars/energy bars flavors to be a little too dry and pretty distant from what they claim it is supposed to be. The names all sound enticing, but then you're so disappointed by the actual taste. "Peanut butter banana?" nope, taste like fake peanut butter on moldy banana bread. "White chocolate macadamia"? Nope, apparently the people in charge have never had white chocolate or a macadamia nut. "Double chocolate brownie"? Nope, tastes like forgotten chocolate candy from 2 Easters ago.Well, these bars tastes pretty similar to an oatmeal cookie, and not like the usual granola bar or chemical sweetened-cardboard tasting energy bar. There are also no raisins, which is a plus as my kids don't like them for some reason. The bars are also not super dense like some granola bars and have a decent mouth feel and are not overly sweetened. My kids often ask for these bars for breakfast/snacks. These bars probably have about the same caloric content as a actual cookie, but with a lot more nutrients, so I don't feel bad letting my kids have one of these bars as a snack instead of cookies or goldfish crackers or whatever junk they sometimes ask for. I also take a bar now and again to work to keep me from eating empty calories from the stuff in the vending machines.The 18 pack sold on Amazon is the best deal I could find and much cheaper than what's at my local grocery store. The icing on the bars can melt so keep that in mind when you're ordering these bars in the summer time.

This is a staple for our house. We subscribe monthly and get 4 boxes a month. We are a family with food allergies (gluten and dairy), so finding healthy, easy items to eat on the go often proves to be challenging.Originally, we got the variety pack box of the cliff kids bars at Costco. There were 3 flavors - the iced oatmeal, brownies and chocolate chip. None of the flavors were bad, but I will say the 2 chocolate flavors were lacking compared to the iced oatmeal. The chocolate ones are extremely messy for our 2 year old, which doesn’t make taking them on the go helpful at all.The oatmeal flavors is liked by all in the family, and I love that it is gluten and dairy free!

After buying the 3-flavor Clif Kid ZBAR variety box from Costco, we decided that we like the Oatmeal the absolute BEST, with chocolate chip second--and chocolate brownie the least favorite because it's just too artificial tasting. So we were delighted to find these 18-pack boxes in our favorite flavor here on Amazon. The ones we bought from Amazon are super-fresh, soft yet chewy, and delicious. Costs a bit more than Costco's 3-flavor variety pack, but it's worth it, at least to us. We try to give our grandkids the healthy foods that are "parent approved," and these fit the bill reasonably well. Plus, they're not messy or too sticky for young kids to handle.

I discovered this flavor of CLIF Kid Zbar at my local Target, and it’s pretty darn yummy. I was looking for something low sugar, simple ingredients, and portable, and of course taste is the big plus here. I’m an oatmeal cookie person, and the taste of this lightly iced bar fits the bill: light taste, not a heavy cookie flavor. When I saw this 18-count box here, it was in my cart in no time flat. Price is terrific, and an added bonus? My kid is not a fan of oatmeal, so, all mine!

I was directed to this by a friend and I picked a few up at the grocery store. While I liked them, my mom really likes them.They taste just like Oatmeal cookies, and they’re just as soft. They’re great as an “any time” snack. The wrapper is a bit difficult to tear, so scissors might be necessary for older folks or younger kids.I get them as part of Amazon’s Subscribe & Save program and I get a good value for the money paid.
