Fake book hiding spot project
It's cute. A little flimsy, but very craftable. I printed black lines on a strip of paper and glued it to the edge to simulate the "pages" then decorated to covers. Fun project.

Perfect for what I needed
Perfect for what I needed. Hardy quality. Good fit.Will need to sand a bit and don’t mix and max box and drawer. The fit is not universal. Great buy!! Kids loved the finished product.

Pine Wood 8" Book Box with Drawer
Not a fancy piece of work but if you want a fake book to hide small things on your desk or book shelf this will do the job once you paint it or but a dust cover from an old book on it. It would be nice if the drawer fit more closely. It is a bit sloppy It will just barely allow a S&W snub nose revolver to fit. Of course it isn't secure, just out of sight while you are working at your desk. Even if you could lock it, it would be easy to break open. Excellent way to keep your favourite pens from walking off.

These are hard to find in stores and about the same price. The quality is what you pay for. I needed twelve of these and 3 were not built correctly - one had splitting wood, one was warped and the drawer didn't fit, and one was actually missing the spine! The other 9 were fine, but this means I had to go through the hassle of returning those three and buying three more. Time not well spent :( These are otherwise unique and serve their purpose! They aren't strong enough to put much pressure on where the spine meets the wood, don't put anything else heavy on top!

Very poor quality
The picture makes this box look like it is beautiful. I was very disappointed in the poor quality of what I received. It is thin and cheap and I called Amazon for a refund immediately.

I have purchased 2 of these and both were perfect. I don't know if they intentionally constructed these with the grain running perfectly so it looks like pages in a book. I have covered both in leather and the end result was quite nice. I've received a lot of compliments on the look. I love the drawer and both ones have lined up perfectly with the box. Great bang for your buck. Will purchase again. Arrived quickly and in perfect condition.
