Worth the money definitely!!! I've already come back and ordered another set just so I could have a few more. They are excellent lanterns. Very bright lights. They are so small and lightweight that you wouldn't think they would be this bright but they are! They are easy to use. Very durable. Very functional. They can be used for so many things! It's great to always have some on hand in case of emergencies! Magnet strength.

Had been looking for some time for some portable lamps that used batteries (not USB rechargeable) and was not able to find many. Came across these ones and was not disappointed, the light is more than enough and you can adjust brightness. Size is also great and they're not heavy at all. I actually bought a set for my elderly mom just in case lights go out and she loved them. Easy to use and put batteries on (because yes, there are others that are a bit rough especially for elderly people).

I bought a four-pack of these Etekcity lanterns years ago and I love them. In fact I returned here today to purchase some more of them for a couple of my relatives. I have used mine for power outages due to severe winter weather and thunderstorms and these lights performed beautifully and illuminated the entire downstairs. One of my neighbors actually came over and asked if my electricity had somehow been restored and of course I said no, and that I have these awesome lanterns that throw a surprisingly amount of nice white light. He thought I had somehow had my power restored or that maybe I had a generator running because my downstairs looked so bright. He was so impressed that he ordered a four-pack of them too. I particularly like that the hue of these lanterns is a "cool white" which is a very white light; not that awful yellowish tint which I cannot stand. These are a nice white light similar to a fluorescent light. I'm pleased that these little lanterns throw a lot of white light. And the batteries will last quite a while too. I ran one of mine as a test for close to 50 hours non stop to see how long the batteries would last. I have Eneloop high capacity rechargeable batteries installed in mine and it works out very well as those are a very low self discharge type of battery and they hold their charge extremely well. LED's don't use a lot of "juice" so you'll get a lot of bang for your buck with these lanterns. You certainly cannot beat the price of them. Great purchase for EMERGENCY & daily use. It does not take up much counter space, easy to use with one sliding motion, great durable quality, shines brightly & can be seen from far distances. It is also light weight & not a burden to carry. I have never tested it submerged in water, but it has been used in a light rainfall with no longer term issues. I live in a neighborhood not well lit, so this particular product is my "Go To" accessory for walking my dog in the evenings, taking out the trash & my grandson's enjoy playing with it on their sleepovers.

Lantern seem well-made and put out a good bit of light for their size. I really like the fact that they run on AA batteries, and that there’s a storage location (either for spare batteries, or a place in which to store the set you plan to use to prevent the batteries from leaking all over the battery compartment). Unlike some reviews I read, these are made from ABS plastic rather than metal, which is fine for me. There are still very durable. You have to be careful when replacing the battery compartment door… It is very easy to cross thread the screw on lid. With a little care, the lid goes on fine and keeps the compartment watertight.I had to order these twice. The first time only three of the four lanterns actually worked. I did double check the batteries and they were fine, so some issue with quality control in producing the fourth lantern. The packaging itself was damaged, so it didn’t get damaged in the shipment. I initially tried to reach out to the manufacturers product support phone number, but the message that that number says you must deal with them via email… That’s a non-starter for me . I went through the return process with Amazon and they replaced with a new set of working lanterns.Taking off one star for the quality control issues and the issues reaching customer support.

I live in Florida and bought these for hurricanes. The lights are bright and the battery power makes it perfect for hurricanes. They function well and I haven’t had any problems with flickering so far. It’s lightweight and is small enough to store in the garage throughout the year.

I'm not a camper, but when there's a lengthy unplanned power outage in the evening candles are not a good option (I've tried). I bought these solely for backup lighting during power outages. The work just fine. No complaints.What's to like- easy operation: lift up to turn on; push down to turn off- surprisingly good lumen output ... though you may need 2-3 in, say, a kitchen- good battery life using standard batteries (comes equipped) ... better than USB-rechargeable lights that aren't much help in an extended power outage if they need to be rechargedWhat's not to like- "cold" blue-white LED light that will disappoint those who want soft, warm lighting- as it's a lantern with light projected 360-degrees (not a lamp with a shade) there's going to be glare
