OEM gasket is some type aluminum, and this new one comes with a more gasket like material helping it seal better.Make sure you clean the gasket surface before placing the new gasket and you'll only need to install it once.

Awesome so far
Fit my 2012 Equinox 3.0L perfectly runs quiet and smooth with no leaks. Seems like great quality and the price was right. Just remember to get new bolts beforehand because they are "tourqued to yeild" so if you try to reuse the old bolts they will probably break.

perfect fitment 2011 Buick enclave
This water pump, was an affordable option, included gasket which sealed fine, and pump was perfect fit to replace the stock pump. My one note is the gasket was not shipped flat in the box causing it to be a little deformed, i flattened it out with a couple boards and 20lb weight on it while i removed the pump from the car and when it was time to install the new pump it was flat again. Merchant shipped on-time and the pump arrived on the day predicted by Amazon.
