Great for general hair health and strength, especially for over-conditioned hair. I over-conditioned my hair to the point where it felt very limp and mushy. I used this product and immediately my curls popped back and felt strong. I typically use it with a handheld dryer, not a hood dryer. That’s just how my mom did it when I was younger. Through my adulthood, I’ve tried both ways and find the benefits of an hood dryer for this particular treatment are negligible. Handheld works just fine and is more convenient for me personally.

Huge difference after first treatment! I highly recommend these products. I’ve been trying to get healthier hair forever, and I have been thinning due to menopause, having trouble growing my hair. I also ordered the vitamins in this brand. My hair is shinier, softer, and healthier after just the first treatment. I am excited to see where this goes.

I don’t normally write reviews but I had to for this one. This product literally saved my hair. After a visit with my salon (whom I used to go to as a teen- first mistake since it’s been so long!) and requesting highlights/balayage (I had very dark hair so I knew this wouldn’t be done in one session which was fine), we got there! Not after having my hair in foils for AN HOUR AND A HALF. My hair was absolutely FRIED. And not only did I know it then, but she even went as far as suggesting layers (which I’ve only been getting blunt cuts as I want it to appear fuller and longer) to cut off as much as the damage as she could! As she was cutting my hair was when I saw my hair literally melting onto her hands. I lost it. Did she know she made a mistake? Of course! Did she apologize or let me know? Of course NOT! Only blow dried my hair and told me to condition it more often now because I was blonde. Ok. It wasn’t until my first wash (this was 4 days later) that I noticed my hair was literally falling out. Like actual clusters. I cried. My hair which I’ve been trying to grow out for SO LONG. Immediately I ran to Amazon after my cousin suggested this product. This was Tuesday. I used this product on Friday along with a at home head hair dryer (which I also bought on Amazon) and went to work. I let it sit for 45 min under the blow dryer until my hair felt like ramen (as the instructions suggested.) I did step number two, washed and styled with Aphogee’s heat protectant product and holy cow. My hair went from straw like to the softest hair ever. And it wasn’t only topical. It literally did feel healthier than it did 4 days prior with my first wash. This product LITERALLY saved my hair when I thought I had no other option than to cut it all off. I will continue using as directed every 4-6 weeks and using hair masks in between. If you had a bad day at the salon, run, don’t walk for this product. 10/10

i have naturally curly thick hair, and recently i bleached and dyed half of it red and the other stayed unbleached, i then had to bleach out the red a few months later and my curls on that side could barely hold, and i saw a youtube review on this product, so i bought it. one thing that should be noted is it says for the protein treatment it should be used by a professional and under a heat dryer like at a salon. i followed instructions, wetting my hair, combing it, towel drying it, and putting the protein in. i then took my hand dryer and proceeded to dry it for about 30-45 minutes, it wouldn’t harden like it said it would on the bottle, but my hands felt like i had hair gel on them. i eventually got it as dry as i could and rinsed it out, using the moisture treatment, which had a strong, not so great smell to it. i washed that out 5 minutes later and it still wasn’t entirely soft so i did one more round and finished off with regular conditioner. my curls weren’t much more defined or revived, but they were a little less brittle and held a tiny bit better (but not that much), but my hair was very soft and not very dry, so that was a good bonus. i also put the protein on both sides of my hair instead of just the one damaged side, so that could’ve been why it didn’t look like it did much. i would recommend this product to someone who doesn’t have completely damaged hair, and who is willing to take a good hour or two to use this product properly. i think it really depends on how much damage the hair has, as well as the curl pattern, but i’d definitely give it a try if you’re willing to take the time to use it and knowing the possibility of it not magically rejuvenating your curls after the first use.

This helped replenish my dry hair so much! Just make sure to follow up he directions exactly and you won't have a problem. Highly recommend this if your hair is in need to repair from coloring/bleaching.
