It's a chair. And it rocks. It is not a chair that you sink into and sigh "ahhhhhhh" at the end of a long day. It is a chair that you sit in. And you can rock in it, though it doesn't really inspire you to do so. But at this price point, it is what it is. A chair.Price was right and shipping was way faster than predicted.Details:It is fairly sturdy, and sufficiently tall. As a man 6'5" and 250lbs, it fits me fine, even with the long arms and long legs. Is it the most comfortable chair in the world? No. But... it's a chair. You sit on it. It does chair things, like being sat on. Let's not overthink it.It came well packaged. The outer box was a bit rough/dented. The contents were just fine, though.The runners were labeled as to which end was the front, and had a strip of soft material attached to the bottom, presumably for wood floors. It was a nice touch.The hardware was clearly labeled, and the instructions were sufficient. Not great, but sufficient. In short: install all of the screws halfway - this gives you flexibility to line up the holes. Then tighten all the screws. My suggestion is to tighten from the runners to each other first, then runners to frame, then the bottom of the back piece, then the sides of the back piece.I had no problems with missing or misaligned holes, and didn't have to get creative during assembly.Assembly was simple and took roughly an hour with the included hex key.The chair is exactly what I expected. It is not heirloom furniture, but it isn't meant to be. It's a step above IKEA in my opinion.It's a chair. I'm happy with it.UPDATE:I ended up flipping the runners backwards and the chair is much more open to the idea of rocking. However, this change of the chair's geometry may make it less usable for short people as it now tilts much further back.

The good: Thankfully, after assembly and all was said and done, I love chair. I didn’t want something too soft as I was already struggling with my posture due the breastfeeding and pumping so the “rigid” support was great for me, i sit all the way back and it keeps my back straight while nursing with the boppy pillow. I was scared to open it because the box said beige and the product description says white, but I’m very pleased with the color. It’s not a bright white as seen in the product picture and some of the reviews, perhaps it’s the lighting.The bad: The alignment with the screw holes made this assembly take about an hour and made me break a sweat. I had to go back and completely unscrew the back rest portion and start with the one that didn’t align at all, otherwise this chair wouldn’t have come together. The legs were another story. I went ahead and set the legs backwards (wider part towards the front) because I read the reviews about it leaning forward. I had to mess around with the screw alignment on that too. You’ll see what I mean when you put it together.All in all, worth the work because of the price. Aesthetically pleasing and feels great if you need the support and aren’t looking for soft, pillowy furniture.

I bought this for a nursery rocker. It's perfect for what I need. I am 5'6". The back is high enough that I can rest my head there. I can just reach my feet to rock. I primarily put my feet on the foot stool to rock, anyways. It's a reclined enough position to be comfortable to sit in and to sleep in. When you've got a sick kid that needs to sleep upright, this chair is perfect. It's very sturdy and cleans up so easily. I didn't realize how many times my kid would yak on this chair. It's pretty stiff as far as cushioning goes, but that's what I like. Furniture tends to sag/soften over time and after 2 years of use (and 2 kids) it still looks brand new. I would buy this a million times if I needed to, thankfully, I will only ever need to buy 1.

I ordered this for my daughter. The chair went together. It looks nice, and I am told it is comfortable. The ottoman, however, was missing the two parts labeled “3.” I contacted Amazon who said they would contact the merchant who would contact me by 11/2. I haven’t heard. I contacted Amazon a second time and was told I would hear by 11/5. I will change my review if this is soon rectified, otherwise, I would caution use of this sellerI owe this company an apology. They did respond to my first attempt to contact them (email was buried, and I missed it). They have offered to send a new ottoman. When it comes, if complete, a new review!This is an update, and it’s late in coming (I had to wait for my son-in-law to assemble). Customer service sent a replacement ottoman promptly—they were very responsive. The chair and ottoman are attractive, and, I am told, very comfortable. Because of its light color, it was sprayed with stain protector. I would not hesitate in doing business with this store again, and apologize for my earlier negative review.

I purchased this chair after hours, days, weeks...searching for an affordable high back chair for my living room. I'm not pregnant, I just wanted a chair I could lean my head back on for neck/back support, and this is it! I'm 5'5" and this is exactly what I was looking for. The chair quality is great- I can't believe I found it on amazon. Assembly was easy, did it by myself; putting the back on the chair was the most challenging part to get the screw holes to line up. I just kept moving the back piece a tiny bit and trying again and again. Takes some finesse but for the quality and price it's totally worth it.

It's a good value if you're looking for something that looks nice but it's not the best value if you're looking for maximum comfort. It's pretty slim and fits well in small spaces, the materials seem high quality, and the color is a nice ivory, but the seat is pretty hard and it's not comfortable to sit in for extended periods. It was also pretty difficult to assemble when it came to attaching the back to the seat. It may be because I wasn't able to get the screws as tight as they need to be, but the chair also squeaks quite a bit when rocking.
